A team of Minutemen, led by a Hunter, is dispatched to respond against a Nexus event in Aix-en-Provence, France, but get attacked by Sylvie Laufeydottir when they arrive. They are all killed. Sylvie sees a young boy and gives him a piece of Kablooie chewing gum before leaving.[1]
Mobius M. Mobius and three other Minutemen come to investigate the team's death. Hunter U-92 tells Mobius that the attack is done by the person that they had been looking for, and Mobius agrees. The young boy appears in the church, prompting U-92 to reach for his baton, but Mobius tells him to stand down. Mobius approaches the boy and draws a stick figure on his TemPad. He tells the boy to tap the TemPad, which causes the stick figure to animate itself walking forward, causing the boy to smile.[1]
Mobius asks the kid if he knows who is responsible the attack, so the boy points at a stain glass depicting the devil. Mobius assures the kid that the attacker is afraid of the Time Variance Authority. The kid smiles in response, revealing his blue teeth. Mobius asks why his mouth is blue, so the kid gives him the pack of gum. Mobius tells the kid to wait outside as U-92 sets a reset charge to prune the timeline. A TVA analyst appear to inform Mobius that they had apprehended another variant of Loki.[1]
