After being acknowledged to exist in "Loki," how would you have Balder appear and explain his absence?
I just saw something on twitter that might explain why Deadpool needs to save his world. This person who is claiming to have inside information seems to hint that it isn't Deadpool's fault and that he might actually be being lied to.
They said the general plot of D&W is based on the Exiles comics. Paradox and his division of the TVA are apparently not actually the TVA. They are supposed to be revealed to be the Timebreakers, which is why we see Deadpool killing TVA agents. They said Deadpool and his allies are basically taking the place of the Exiles, a heroic team assembled by and lied to by the Timebreakers in order to fix timelines that were in ruins because of the Timebreakers who were messing with technology they didn't understand. In the comics, instead of admitting they were at fault, the Timebreakers assembled and lied to two teams: the Exiles and Weapon X.
This "insider" claims that in the movie, Cassandra Nova's team is actually taking the place of the Weapon X team. This makes sense since the Cassandra's team is seemingly all villains and the Weapon X team was supposed to be a more brutal team than the more heroic Exiles.
I looked at the Marvel Database page of the Exiles, I think, and there was a copy of a conversation between Beak and a Timebreaker. Beak asked if their mission was to take out a version of Hyperion that used to work for them but resisted and the Timebreaker said yes. So I think they could be using Cassandra as a stand in for Hyperion.
So basically, if this leak is true, Deadpool's world could be in danger because of Paradox and nothing to do with Deadpool.
I think this could lead to a pretty bad ending for Deadpool in the movie. I feel like if this is true and they make it comic accurate Deadpool's universe might not be saved at the end. It would fall in line with the Timebreakers lying and them not understanding the multiverse like the comics. It would also help explain why Deadpool and possibly Wolverine head to the MCU.
I watch Emergency Awesome and for a while, Charlie has said Paradox was going to be the surprise twist villain. Him being a Timebreaker would add a layer to the twist, and from what I've read Paradox did very little in the comics anyway.
The "insider" also had some other posts that sort of went with that first post. They said there were versions of the script that involved the Timebreakers being fans of Wolverine, I assume specifically Jackman's Wolverine for comedic reasons, and they did not want him to die in the events of Logan. So I guess the whole Wolverine being necessary to save Deadpool's universe is going to be the lie.
And besides that, apparently we are supposed to get not only the Deadpool Corps, but the Wolverine Squad, a third team created by the Timebreakers. This could actually make sense given the tease of Patch in one of the first trailers. One of the variants on the team was a Patch variant. I also think it fits well with the movie's title. If Deadpool gets the Deadpool Corps, Wolverine should have the Wolverine Squad. To me, it would make it more like an actual Deadpool and Wolverine movie and not a Deadpool 3 co staring Wolverine.
I think this would be cool even with a potentially sad ending.
After being acknowledged to exist in "Loki," how would you have Balder appear and explain his absence?
Doom, in a way, should be better than Loki in my opinion. Loki was mostly just a Thor villain. Doom should be in multiple different projects like Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Avengers.
@IronWidowMaikuB I looked on his page, and it says he was going to sell it to HYDRA or the Ten Rings. I guess it was explained in the Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary.
@Greater good I figured they were setting up the Jane Foster: Valkyrie storyline from the comics.
I'm hoping this is Venom's third spawn. Basically he left a symbiote in the MCU and when he was back in his own universe he spawned another one.
What storyline(s) are you most interested in seeing continued?
Where would you continue them? (Especially the ones we have no known continuations)
Who bought Avengers Tower? (Spider-Man: Homecoming)
Mac Gargon hunting Spider-Man (Spider-Man: Homecoming)
Kree sleeper cells (Spider-Man: Far From Home)
Mordo hunting sorcerers (Doctor Strange)
Who hired Crossbones (Captain America: Civil War)
Who were the dangerous people Sonny Burch was working with? (Ant-Man and the Wasp)
William Ginter Riva uploading Mysterio files (Spider-Man: Far From Home)
Mitchell Carson escaping (Ant-Man)
Fate of the Eternals (The Eternals)
Everett Ross escaping (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever)
New Ten Rings Organization (Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings)
Sharon Carter being the Power Broker (Falcon and the Winter Soldier)
Hercules vs Thor (Thor: Love and Thunder)
Jane Foster in Valhalla (Thor: Love and Thunder)
Monica in an alternate reality (The Marvels)
Young Avengers (The Marvels)
Doctor Strange and Clea investigating incursions(Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness)
Beacon from the Ten Rings (Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings)
Miles Morales (Spider-Man: Homecoming)
Skaar explanation movie (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law)
Blade and Black Knight team up (The Eternals)
Fisk being mayor of New York (Echo)
Konshu working with Jake Lockley (Moon Knight)
Bullseye post surgery (Daredevil)
Typhoid Mary's third persona (Iron Fist)
The hunt of Orson Randall (Iron Fist)
That universe was pruned in "Loki."
@IronWidowMaikuB Again, it has been out right confirmed at least twice to my knowledge that they are not altering the events of Logan.
They confirmed this first in the second promo video for the movie and later in an interview Jackman said he talked to Mangold about going back but not changing Logan.
So him saving Wolverine at the end of Logan is not happening.
So either the Anchor Point thing is not real, or it is real and the TVA has deemed the main Fox X-Men universe is not worth saving, so that Wolverine can die (which could also be an in universe explanation of why Marvel Studios will no longer continue the Fox universe).
And the Disney higherups most likely don't care about Anchor Point Characters, they care more about how much Sony would sell the Spider-Man property for. Last time Disney tried to buy it, they decided Sony was asking too much.
@IronWidowMaikuB I get picking someone who is alive, but to me it's still odd they give it to a Sony owned character. I guess if they did it to keep Sony happy it makes some sense. I guess in a way it feels like they are saying, if the Anchor Point character thing is real, that if Sony's Spider-Man dies, Marvel Studios will discontinue the MCU.
I get not picking Tony too. With how far along the timeline we are, it would be odd to say the MCU is coming to an end and tracing it back to Tony's death. I would think the universe would come to an end much quicker and closer to an Anchor Point character's death.
I think I just find the whole concept odd that the fate of universes are dependent on a single person's life. I guess they did it in the comics with Molecule Man, but he
had cosmic level powers/energy which isn't comparable to Wolverine or Spider-Man.
As for saving the Wolverines, they would have to explain why he doesn't save Wolverine during Logan and they would have to explain why he can't just team up with the Wolverine from his universe. Why does he need one from an alternate reality?
I agree with Secret Invasion and Love and Thunder.
Secret Invasion should have either been a Secret Invasion movie or a Nick Fury show, not a combination.
Love and Thunder I felt had wasted potential. It could have used less Korg comedy and maybe more comic accurate Gorr story.
Some of these others I think suffered from outside influences.
Multiverse of Madness had a "leak" that made it seem like it was going to be Secret Wars before Secret Wars.
Wakanda Forever, probably suffered because we all had hopes for Chadwick being Black Panther fighting Namor.
Ms. Marvel suffered because of the reworking of her origin in both the show and the comics.
Other than that, the other projects I really only have small issues with or I don't know enough about the comic book counterparts to know what could have been improved.
One theory I heard and thought could work is that the main Wolverine in D&W is a variant from a timeline where he failed to kill Jean at the end of Last Stand. That would lead to her wiping out the X-Men and lead to him not considering himself a hero.
This would also allow "Logan" not to be touched which has been confirmed.
So according to this theory this Wolverine's timeline would be:
First Class
Origins
X-Men
X2
Last Stand with a nexus point
Deadpool & Wolverine
However, back to the original question, I don't know how Wolverine would save Deadpool's universe.
I've heard about the Anchor Point "Leak", but I'm not sure if that is going to be real or not. For me it raises a few questions. First, what happened to the Wolverine in Deadpool's universe that he needs to get another one? Secondly, the MCU's Anchor Point is supposed to be Spider-Man. Why would Marvel Studios choose Spider-Man when they don't own the character and have constant arguments with Sony? It seems like a big role for a character they don't fully own. I mean it could still happen, but until there is confirmation and an explanation, I have some doubts.
@LardWad420 Mister Immortal was in She Hulk.
What I'm talking about is that, to me, the Green Goblin, Venom, and the original Sinister Six are the go to villains for Spider-Man.
I want Rocket Racer, Big Wheel, Puma, Cardiac, Coldheart, The Living Brain, Malcom Knight, Thomas Fogg, Gibbon, White Rabbit, Corona, Megawatt, the Wicked Brigade, Chance, Mindworm, the Death Squad, and others.
Doop
Mad Jim Jaspers
Luminals
Night Shift
Universal Cosa Nostrum
And probably the biggest thing is a ton of Spider-Man villains
I feel like they focus on the same 10 or so villains in every iteration of Spider-Man.
@Superbattleshipyamato No, he never was. The scene in Multiverse of Madness reinforces that.
Doctor Stephen Strange: The Book of Vishanti? It's not real. It's a fairy tale that doesn't exist.
Wong: Actually, it does. I found out in the secret book you get when you become Sorcerer Supreme.
Strange doesn't believe the Book of the Vishanti exists. Wong says that there is a secret book with secret information only for the Sorcerer Supreme. If Strange was Sorcerer Supreme, he would have known about the secret book and known the Book of the Vishanti existed.
He has denied being the Sorcerer Supreme twice and has never said he had then lost the title.
@Mortal Reminder616 I don't think they did. It was the United Front and Guardians of the Galaxy.
I feel like Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave would be better for an Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Galactus and Doctor Doom should be saved.
I'd want Molecule Man (who could tie into Secret Wars) or the Frightful Four.
Endgame:
Ancient One: Strange is meant to be the best of us.
Nothing about him being the Sorcerer Supreme.
No Way Home:
Peter Parker: (pointing to Stephen) Wait, I thought you were the Sorcerer Supreme?
Stephen Strange: No. He got it on a technicality, 'cause I blipped for five years.
Multiverse of Madness:
Wong: Actually, it does. I found out in the secret book you get when you become Sorcerer Supreme.
Doctor Stephen Strange: Unbelievable.
America Chavez: You're not the Sorcerer Supreme?
Doctor Stephen Strange: No, I am not the Sorcerer Supreme.
America: Other you was Sorcerer Supreme in his universe.
For the Black Knight I was going off the fact that they acknowledge Nathan Garret exists, who was a previous Black Knight in the comics.
For Quasar, I was considering Ms. Marvel since they revealed there was going to be a scene showing a Quasar creating the jump points with the Quantum Bands and now she has the bands.
And your original post says "roles" so the Sorcerer Supremes' names wouldn't matter it's still the same role, and Doctor Strange has yet to be the Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU it's actually Wong.
And again with the "roles" for Young Avengers, which yes wasn't directly named, will be made up of characters with the same roles as the main Avengers. Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel, Hawkeye/Hawkeye, Stature/Ant-Man & Wasp, Patriot/Captain America, Skaar/Hulk, Wiccan/Scarlet Witch, Speed/Quicksilver, America Chavez/Doctor Strange, Love/Thor
