I have no energy right now, and I am not going to waste what little energy I have it trying to tell you why this is so important and how you are misinterpreting what I am saying because it will never change what you see @Fiona225
This also really doesn’t affect people who are straight or cisgender, because you have always had someone in the movies to look up too and someone who is like you, but people in the LGBTQ community have never really got to have that experience. The only LGBTQ characters have only had a small cameo or have never actually been confirmed as LGBTQ. Also saying you support the LGBTQ community or are apart of it and posting about it does not mean you are favoriting anyone or discriminating. As a bisexual, bigender person, it will be nice to know that I can see someone on screen who relates to me. And no this does not mean I hate against heterosexual or cisgender people.
Yes, I do agree a person of the LGBTQ community shouldn’t be solely defined because they are LGBTQ, but I also do not think that we should completely ignore it either. It is important to realize that characters of LGBTQ have never had a big standing in the MCU, and it shows how we have progressed from when LGBTQ were killed for being who they are. It should not define them, but we should at least acknowledge that it is there.
Also I would like to say @Fiona225 that what you are saying feels slightly offensive and homophobic by saying that as a LGBTQ person, I don’t like straight people and that just because someone posts about the LGBTQ community, automatically makes them a hater to straight people.
They are all looking so good! So excited!
I understand not defining the characters as LGBTQ+ or just as “gay” but also I don’t think you understand how big of a moment this is for us people in the LGBTQ community
I don’t think so but I really wish he would, he played Peter very well
