Just finished watching it. Loved it!!! I'll probably write everything I thought about it tomorrow.
But in the meantime:
^^ No mention of Born Again or Fisk at all
^It really is a one of the very best movies since endgame (at least in my opinion)
@Danger1109 The Sentry. He is a new character.
No Way Home
Shang Chi
Quantumania
Wakanda Forever
Black Widow
Thor Love and Thunder
Eternals
Multiverse of Madness
@SpiderFan2104 It was a vision after shuri took the heartshaped herb, it wasn’t real.
T’challa from illness right in the beginning (which you probably already know) and Queen Ramonda was killed by Namor in the middle.
@SpiderFan2104 I’m not telling you what to do or anything, but I strongly advise you to stay away from this thread. Movies are usually a lot better without spoilers, even if it means you’ll learn what happened after everyone else… especially the death moments. Just do yourself a favour and wait until you can actually watch it.
Honestly, I came to this movie without much expectations, mostly because of Chadwick's death and a new Black Panther being the lead (I knew it was Shuri but still).
I am very glad to say I was pleasently surprised by how good the movie was.
They dealt with T'challa's death and the emotions in it very well, and Queen Ramonda's death added a lot to it. Even though the movie didn't make me cry it was super emotional, and the acting from everyone was amazing.
I'm not familiar with the comics, but Namor's backstory was really intresting. I thing the idea of having the nations become allies in the end could lead the some very intresting because both nations are very seperate from the outside world, and it open a portal to having a war between them and the rest of the world. I think this could be great if done well.
Can we talk about the fact that Val works for the CIA? do you think that means she's recruiting the Thunderbolts for them, or is she doing it for someone else entirely?
On it's own, I liked the idea of T'challa having a son, but doing that right after we found out the hulk has a son as well was a pour choise.
All in all, I really liked the movie. It was really emotional and was done greately.
Honestly, season 6 is my least favourite season, but it’s not bad, it’s just not as good as the other seasons.
Shang Chi
^ It’s possible, but I think there’s more to that. I think the MCU is a whole different multiverse of its own. There are evidence to support it, like that there is only one America Chavez in the whole multiverse, yet she is not the same version from the comics.
I have to admit I didn’t really like this movie too much. It was interesting, but it also really ruined Wanda for me.
In my opinion, they took the whole thing too far. I get that Wanda is very unstable, and I get that she is corrupted by the Darkhold, and I get that she has been through a lot, and I get that she would do anything to have her kids again, even at the price of taking America’s life and powers, but her just going full psycho and killing absolutely everyone in her way in cold blood, that’s just too much in my opinion, and for me it’s erasing the decision she made in the end of Wandavision. Wanda gave the hex up because she realised how wrong it is, and the things she does in this movie are so much worse.
I liked the ending of Wanda, the scene where her kids were afraid of her because of the staff she did was amazing, and so was her sacrifice, but it doesn’t cover up the fact that they destroyed her character in the middle.
I liked the other characters, and I liked the fact the Illuminati appeared and the characters in it, but I didn’t like the way they just killed them all off so fast.
You can’t expect them to think 7 years forward. Of course they didn’t say anything about Captain Marvel, they didn’t know how and when they will introduce her back then, and even if they did know they will eventually introduce her, they probably (almost certainly) didn’t know they will place it in the past, so you really can’t blame them.
And even if we ignore that, there will always be plot holes, because no one can think of everything in advance. Just be thankful the MCU is pretty consistent compared to some other franchises (even though we do have plot holes)
I’d revive Agent Carter because they left it open, and I’d love to see the story about Michael, that was supposed to be saved for the third season.
And I don’t think the show needs a revival but I would love to see some of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. characters in some other projects in the MCU
Spider-Man: Homecoming
@Optimusprimebumblebee "Neo Astral-X" 123 I think that team is a little to big, I doubt they’ll all be Avengers. Out of the people you’ve mentioned, My guess is that Spider-Man, Blade and Moon Knight will be closer to solo acts, only crossing path with the Avengers every once in a while. About Quake, even if she does come back in Secret Invasion, and I remind you it’s still an if, I highly doubt she will join the Avengers.
I don’t think there was enough good in him to deserve redemption (though I did hope he would get one at first). But hey, at least we got framework Ward, that has to count for something, right?
@DavisRanger Does he have one though? He has a personality and everything, but he is basically a super advanced AI, whose mind was created by the mind stone, not the soul stone. I’m not sure he has a soul.
I think Cap was able to lift it simply because he was a really good person, with a big heart and a will to help people and sacrifice himself for others.
About Vision, personally I have to say that while he is great, and may would have been to able lift Mjolnir anyway (depends on the definition of worthy, which we don’t know), I’m not sure the worthiness spell is valid in his case, because he’s a machine. Like Cap and Tony said, if you put the hammer in an elevator, it would still go up (I know they kinda said it out of bitterness, but they had a point).
@Ewysgarcoyustcrouiwetsnro When was it confirmed? I’ve seen her name in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness page, but I couldn’t find a reference on when it was reported/confirmed.
Honestly, I have to admit I am worried about this movie. Between Doctor Strange, Wanda, America Chaves, The illuminati, Strange Supreme, Mordo and whoever that glowing figure is(wether it’s Cap. Marvel, Maria, Nova, or someone else entirely) it seems a little overcrowded… I know the MCU have dealt with stuff like that before, but I’m still worried.
