<p>I hope not. I love Tom Holland's Spidey.</p>

<p>@FlerkenGheerkin (love the username), who besides Thanos was purple? Nebula and Ronan were blue, Red Skull was red, Squidward was grayish, and Yellowjacket, well you get the idea. </p>

<p>I enjoyed GotG the first time I saw it, but I did not feel anywhere near the appreciation I now realize it deserves.</p><p>
</p><p>Basically all of the grievances I have about the Avengers series, GotG manages to subvert and do a beautiful job at. I love the entire main cast, and I have no trouble viewing each character exactly as the movie intends for me to view him or her. First time around, I thought Star Lord was a rip-off of John Crichton from "Farscape;" now I realize he's an *improved* version of Crichton. </p><p>
</p><p>I'd say the best thing about the GotG section of the MCU franchise, is how fearless it is. It's not afraid to use oldies music, to have a talking raccoon and a tree as crewmembers, or to have a male lead who shamelessly misses his mother. The movies are fun, because (I assume) the people making them were having fun. </p>

<p>But at least Nat didn't end up being Bruce's niece! </p>

<p>Obviously, the people writing this movie knew exactly what they were doing, and had it all fully and carefully planned out. </p>

<p>@Illisia Sadly, what determines the future of these characters is *not* what is right for the character or the story; it's who ends up being in charge of the next current movie, and which actors are able and willing to work with them. </p><p>
</p><p>The Russos are supposedly exiting, so thank god, no more seeing all the other Avengers degraded to footstools for Stu Rogers' pedestal. But there's still the issue of whether RDJ, Zoe Saldana and ScarJo feel like coming back to the roles; if Marvel/Disney want to spend the money on such expensive actors; and all of us hoping to god none of them ends up being the next Hollywood celeb outted as a monster of some sort. </p><p>
</p><p>At the risk of sounding hipster, "Endgame" killed my faith in big franchises' abilities to tell good stories, or even tell stories from the heart. And it also killed my suspension of disbelief in the whole MCU. It's like seeing a curtain pulled back, and so many of the major plot twists are so obviously due to marketing, or actors' availability or so forth. </p><p>

<p>Obviously. I love Ant-Man. And I'd really like for Ghost to return as well. </p><p>
</p><p>On the side, Ideally, there'd also be a cameo from Tony (via flashback, or an MCU retcon of his death), where he and Pym have the banter and ant-nimosity they should've had all along. Alternatively, if Tony is still dead, I want Hank to regard him as Deadpool does Woulverine. (P.O.ed that the guy he hates went and died the most epically heroic death literally saving the universe, so now he's forever stuck in his shadow.) </p>

<p>@Illisia, Ma'am, please don't get my hopes up like that! The Russos finally leaving has already done that too much to me. I can't handle another disappointment. </p>

<p>Bring all three into the next Spider-Verse movie, animated. I'd die to see that! BUT, TB has to do the infamous Emo dance at some point. </p>

<p>Both characters have been poorly treated by the series. I mean, they're well written enough for me to care about them and like them. </p><p>
</p><p>But Nat was used primarily for fan service and ship-teasing, then killed just when her actress was aging out of her sex-symbol status, with no meaningful interactions with any of the many female characters she has so much in common with. </p><p>
</p><p>Bruce, meanwhile, gets no trilogy despite being one of the Main Four, and despite clearly being the most morally pure and "worthy" of the bunch, is shoved into the role of "comically wimpy nerd," in the hopes that we won't question Cap being the "purest" Avenger (against all evidence). </p>

<p>My fingers are crossed hard for some retcons, but I"m trying not to hold my breath. </p>

<p>You're talking about a movie that couldn't be bothered to remember that there was anything to be resolved between Tony and Bucky, or the previous film's epic cliffhanger ending setting up for an important role Captain Marvel was supposed to play in this film. Never mind how snubbed so many fan favorites like Shuri and Bucky were. Between all that, and what they did to Peggy Carter, do you really expect the Russos to remember there are TV shows? </p>

<p>This petition would not exist if the Russos had done a better job with the movie, and had had more respect for the other directors' characters (that is to say, all the Avengers who aren't Steve Rogers). Really, it was a bad idea to let the directors of one character's movies be put in charge of the ensemble's finale. </p>

<p>@Mike043, I don't get why everyone is acting like Hawkeye was killing innocents. I only saw the movie once, so maybe I'm forgetting something. But I thought the implication was that he was just out killing bad guys, like the Punisher. </p>

<p>Because the writers of that movie have the combined IQ of a bonobo. </p>

<p>I feel Ronin, along with everything Hawkeye related, was grossly underdeveloped. </p>

<p>I'll watch, but not the same way. And I don't mean in the sentimental "It's not the same without the original six." I mean, "Endgame" shattered my suspension of disbelief in the story, and my faith in the writers' giving a genuine damn about crafting an actual story. I'm basically jumping ship to the Fandom side of the MCU. Watch the movies I like, and look to fan art and fan fiction for what "really" happened in between them. </p><p>
</p><p>So I'll watch "Spiderman: Far From Home," GOTG 3, and any other "Black Panther" or "Captain Marvel" movie that comes out, but I will be watching them as I would children's cartoons, with no expectations. </p>

<p>@ FartherDeath Why Falcon? Just curious. (I like him, but I don't love him. It just seems like a random choice to me.) </p>

</p><p>That could actually work, via Asgardians! But Xena needs to appear as well. </p>

<p>I love X-Men, but I really do NOT want them brought into the MCU. In my opinion, having X-men and Avengers in the same universe does a major disservice to both. What's so controversial about Mutants if superheroes like the Avengers are praised and looked up to? And what's so remarkable about the Avengers if regular people are born with superpowers every day? I feel they belong in their own separate stories. </p><p>
</p><p>That said, I wouldn't say no to versions of certain X-men characters given different backstories for the MCU, like what was done with Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Storm could easily be an Asgardian relative of Thor's, Woulverine another escaped Hydra experiment, etc. </p><p>
</p><p>I'd also love a nonsensical Deadpool cameo, breaking the forth wall as usual. Look, of Howard the Duck can show up in the MCU, there's no reason for Deadpool not to. </p>
