To be fair, I haven’t verified this myself, but I saw a post on insta about a watchlist prepared by Disney+ in preparation for Secret Invasion, and this watchlist included Agents of Shield. If that’s true, then it’s the first official acknowledgment of the series in recent years!

I’d actually love big hero six in the MCU, but I’d prefer they do an adaptation of the animated version that the comics. I think it’s much more marketable and I personally have no connection to the comics version. But that’s just me.

Yeah my assumption was that it was for Quake. It’s just nice to finally see AoS getting acknowledged. There were arguments all over the comments on the insta post I saw about canon and I’m ready to finally feel validated.

My only guess as to why they are releasing echo like this is because they know a huge amount of fans are only watching for Daredevil and they want to get those episodes out as soon as possible as maybe it will boost viewership of the show?

If they can find a way to adapt the worst Spider Man storyline into No Way Home, I believe they can find a way to adapt Civil War II and make it satisfying and compelling. Obviously Tony can’t be involved, but maybe in the adaptation it could be Rhodey, or Peter, or Riri, maybe even Shuri could take the place of Tony. The films are not 1:1 adaptations.

The MCU is a film adaptation of the 616 universe. Not everything is exactly as it was in the comics. It is not the same universe. However, the MCU is regardless set in the 616 universe. So far, what has been shown to us through the MCU so far dictates that it cannot be the same multiverse as the comics. It simply can’t be. (There is only one America Chavez, which according to the comics that is untrue. The Darkhold is destroyed across the multiverse, which is not true in the comics. Etc.)
The idea that the MCU should be tied down by the Multiversal rules of the comics is absurd. The MCU is its own thing and will continue to be its own thing set on its own specific Earth-616.

@TheD00dlebug i don’t think that was the incursion. I think the incursion was in No Way Home, when the universes were colliding and people were pulled into the main MCU reality

I’d think a fun character to include in the MCU’s version of the Thunderbolts would be Agatha Harkness. Obviously a departure from the comics, but it could be fun and interesting
