My brother went and saw the movie. He didn't have anything good to say about it.
However, what did you think of it? I haven't seen the movie, but I would like to know what the MCU community thinks of it.
Originally, I wasn't going to see it. Endgame was the end for me. But I heard great things about it, and now I'm glad I saw it. It's definitely one of my favorite MCU movies. Great cast, great characters, great story, and the nostalgia is used wisely. I also appreciate how during the marketing, I don't remember any cast or crew members hating on the fans and calling them names.
You know what I also appreciate? Peter Parker's transformation from Spider-Boy into Spider-Man. I rewatched Homecoming, and it's amazing how different Peter was in that compared to No Way Home. Before No Way Home, I liked Spider-Man, but I was a little critical about him, especially how he gets his technology from Tony Stark. But now that we have the complete picture, the whole thing was just genius. His whole 6-movie journey was an origin story, and that's just amazing. As of right now, Tom Holland is my favorite Spider-Man by far.
And by the way, I saw No Way Home in the theater 3 TIMES. That's how much I loved this movie.
I love the extended version of No Way Home. But sadly, I went to the bathroom in the theater, and came back just as the movie started. At the time, I wasn't aware that there was an intro done by Tobey, Andrew, and Tom, and I missed it. 0_0
I like him without the beard.
Because people are sick of strong wahmen being the main focus of the movie, instead of the writing and character development. People claim that the fans are a bunch of manbabies for trolling. Remember, nowadays, if you don't like a movie that stars women, you're sexist. This crap has happened so many times now. Of course people are going to troll the movie. Is it really that manbaby of people to want a good movie over politics?
And wasn't Brie Larson casted back in 2016 or so? I don't remember anyone complaining. They started trolling when they found out the movie had SJWs behind it. That was a major red flag. And plus, the character was sandwiched between Infinity War and Endgame, which took a decade to get to, and she was potentially going to take down Thanos with one punch. This would have ruined all that buildup. Thank goodness she was hardly in the movie. But in my opinion, Captain Marvel should have been introduced after the Infinity Saga, and be reworked to be more likeable. Black Widow should have taken her 2019 release date.
And let's talk about her character...she's just given her powers. Iron Man's suit got more powerful over time. Steve Rogers is limited to what he can do. But Captain Marvel can take down spaceships effortlessly. I'll take Iron Man, thank you very much.
To be honest, SJWs are the reason I haven't seen MCU films after Far From Home. WandaVision promised good things for the future. But after I saw Falcon and Winter Soldier, I was done with the MCU, if this is what future movies were going to be like. I didn't see Black Widow because it was about strong wahmen and I heard the story sucked. I didn't see Shang-Chi because it bragged about Asian representation, and once again, I heard the story wasn't that great. Don't even get me started on Eternals.
The only post-Infinity Saga film I've seen was Spider-Man: No Way Home. The only reason I saw it was because I heard there were no SJWs and the story was actually good. The movie had it's flaws, but I enjoyed it. The story was interesting, the characters were likeable, and the villain was great. I also liked that Tom Holland's Spider-Man finally suffered some loss.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
My brother went and saw the movie. He didn't have anything good to say about it.
However, what did you think of it? I haven't seen the movie, but I would like to know what the MCU community thinks of it.
For me personally, I saw:
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Avengers: Infinity War
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Captain Marvel (OW, MY EYES!!!!)
Avengers: Endgame
Spider-Man: Far from Home
I was invited to Black Widow, but I didn't see it because in my opinion, the quality of the MCU has been going down. Years ago, I didn't like Marvel movies because they took themselves too seriously. But nowadays, they don't take themselves seriously enough. I'm referring to all the jokes that ruin the drama. I'll probably watch the new movies once they're free on Disney+, and that's assuming I'm even interested.
Which movies did you see in the theater, and which ones are you planning to see?
And if you're wondering why there's gaps in between viewings on my list, there's two reasons for that. Early on, I wasn't invited by the family members that did go. Later on in around 2017, I stopped caring. My interest sort of came back after seeing Endgame, which was an epic experience, by the way.
