What If Trevor Slattery had gotten his hands on Mysterio's equipment? I doubt he'd do anything bad with it but I'm sure he'd have some creative ideas in store given his acting skills alongside the powerful illusions (Sort of like comic Mysterio).

Since it was confirmed that the Mandarin will be the main villain in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, there has been speculation that a certain character from Iron Man 3 may pop up in the movie.
Well, I can now confirm that Ben Kingsley does indeed reprise his role as Trevor Slattery in the movie, as Brett Metter is listed as his stunt double on IMDb:
For all those fans who bitched and moaned about this guys portrayal in Iron Man 3 clearly don’t understand that the mandarin WASN’T in it, was never GOING to be in it, and for all intents and purposes, shouldn’t even BE in it. You guys honestly wanted to see an accurate depiction of a racist fu manchu caricature that was made to promote violence against Asians in this modern day and age? (But why couldn’t they let Ben Kingsley play him then?) because then you would accuse the film of whitewashing, so you see you just can’t have it either way. And really, like I said, the theme of the Iron man movies is of dealing with the sins of the past and demons we create, and you guys honestly wanted him to fight a racially insensitive space wizard? That would seem really out of place and not fit in with the theme of the Iron man movies. (But he’s one of his most iconic enemies) here’s where your wrong on that, Iron Man doesn’t have an impressive rogue’s gallery like Batman or Spiderman does (I mean really, the melter? The living Laser?) Iron Man’s greatest demons and enemies are usually his inner demons and the ones he usually creates on his own, which is something we have seen in these movies, hell there was even a story about him fighting alcoholism. I’m fairly certain that Marvel didn’t want to glorify violence against Asians and wanted to make a new villain that just so happens to have his name but not the actual character himself, plus isn’t the fact that he’s going to appear in Shang Chi more than enough proof that they do care about these characters? (But it feels like Disney...) no they didn’t. That’s not how it works, Disney doesn’t tell Marvel what to do, everything Marvel does is of Marvel’s choice. I found the misdirection to be brilliant and a way to keep us the loyal fans of the comics surprised and not give us the same old crap that we’ve seen before. And you guys are complaining about a portrayal of a character who wasn’t even in it! And besides, the fact that we are getting the mandarin in Shang chi is more than enough proof that they do want to use this character but in a way that isn’t offensive.
