The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Now I like both @IronWidowMaikuB or in the case of thunderbolts start to loving it after viewing Thor 4 but anyways

Each phase in this saga teased the official mcu Fantastic four debut like with fan service illuminati one then the metaness of Evans which was better used.

And of course we had Falcon and winter soldier where we had Bucky and John interact, then Hawkeye and of course black widow, but notice how these projects were at first half of phase 4 and the issue is that we had to wait till the end of phase 5 it’s like if we had solo avengers films for phase 1 yet we didn’t have them meet for the first time till age of ultron. See how weird it is and it kind of validates that it’s too late as silver said

Shame cause it shouldn’t devalue the film itself but alas and again I love thunderbolts now. So much so I’m tempted to see black widow finally.

I really feel like what if was kind of useless and instead we could have had at least one more appearance for each of the thunderbolts kind of like Yelena in Hawkeye

Whether it was about a character, an event, or anything. And I'm curious, what did people you encountered ignore about MCU? What did stick with you particularly? For me I think it would be:

-Ignoring everything Sam has done throughout the MCU to earn the mantle of Captain America

-Claiming that Nico killed Lemar so it was ok for John to kill him

-Claiming that Fantastic Four is Reed's story, his team, his family

-Ignoring the fact that Sue is the most powerful member of Fantastic Four and deserves some spotlight

-Multiple Tony's flaws and mistakes

And there's so much more.

Lately a lot of movies are re-released in theaters because of their anniversary or new movie in the franchise, so I'm curious which MCU movies in your opinion should be re-released?

Which feel like most important for the story leading up to Avengers Doomsday?

I feel like Loki, Captain America Brave New World, Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four are the most important right now.

I know we'll be able to be certain after the movie releases but I want to know your opinions.

No matter how many good projects MCU makes some "fans" will still complain about how nothing is good anymore and YouTubers will keep making shitty videos about it because positivity doesn't sell. They'll have their opinions ready long before the premiere.

To me I think it would Captain America Civil War.

(I know Black Widow didn't start Phase 4 but it's the first movie of it so in a way it started Phase 4 when it came to movies)

So what is The MCU/MCM going to be rebooted as when The Mutant Saga is released or is it going to remain as The Marvel Cinematic Universe/Multiverse?

The thought just occurred to me.

Where members are characters who appeared in previous MCU projects or do you prefer for members to be introduced in a said movie like Guardians of the Galaxy, Eternals and Fantastic Four? Or do you simply like both options?

I noticed in the article for The Fantastic Four: First Steps that the main four lead actors from the unreleased low-budget independent 1994 The Fantastic Four film -- i.e., Alex Hyde-White (who played Mister Fantastic), Rebecca Staab (who played the Invisible Woman), Jay Underwood (who played the Human Torch), and Michael Bailey Smith (who played Ben Grimm pre-Thing while Carl Ciarfalio played Ben as the Thing) -- are playing undisclosed roles in the new film. Could it be possible that, owing to the known multiverse, they could be returning to play their old roles in an alternative dimension being revealed to our heroes here? Or maybe they'll just be playing different roles altogether. Thoughts?

As we all know it's popular criticism of the MCU that we have to do "homework" to fully understand the plot and characters but there also multiple projects that don't require that because they're either standalone or self-explanatory, especially in The Multiverse Saga. For example the entire Phase 1 (minus the Avengers) doesn't require to watch previous movies except for Iron Man 2 but that's understandable because it's a sequel. In Phase 2 we don't really need to watch Avengers to understand Guardians of the Galaxy, with Ant-Man, maybe a bit. In Phase 3 I think Doctor Strange stands very well on his own and we don't need to watch any of the previous movies to understand it. To understand GOTG2 we only really need to watch the first one, the rest can be ignored. Black Panther also doesn't really require us to watch Civil War to truly understand it. I think only Captain Marvel credit scene requires from us to know what happened in previous movies. In Phase 4 there are Loki, Shang-Chi, Eternals, What If, Werewolf By Night, Ms Marvel that are self-explanatory enough so we don't have to watch previous movies, Moon Knight is standalone story so we can watch it without a problem, to understand Wakanda Forever I think we just need to watch the first one since events of Avengers aren't really important to the plot. In Phase 5 there's Deadpool & Wolverine for which we only have to watch Deadpool 2 really and maybe Logan, but Loki isn't really required for that, or any other of the projects involving the Resistance characters. Daredevil Born Again requires to watch only Og show and Defenders but that's only because it's basically season 4 of it, Ironheart doesn't require to watch Wakanda Forever to understand it in my opinion, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man also doesn't require to watch any of the previous movies/shows, while Thunderbolts* only really require to watch Black Widow, and maybe TFATWS. The Fantastic Four seems like it also doesn't require from us to watch anything else so there's that. Is there any other MCH project that in your opinion doesn't require watching previous ones or at least just 1 or 2?

Matt Shakman says that it was a heartbreaking choice to make, but the character's appearance just didn't serve the overall story:

John Malkovich Cut From 'Fantastic Four' as Red Ghost

John Malkovich appears to have an unknown role (rumored to be Red Ghost) in the Fantastic Four: First Steps, as revealed in the first teaser. However, why is the actor absent from the cast on the movie's page while his role is listed on IMDB and Malkovich's page?

Who do you think should be the villains of the next movies, since Doom is a no go? I think Anihilus could be the villain of one the movies.

I had to ask because while he's come into conflict with many other Marvel heroes, Doom remains the arch-adversary of the Fantastic Four in particular. As such, and with the sequel to First Steps underway, it makes one wonder if we'll see more of Victor Werner von Doom in the M.C.U. He may had been the villain in all of the Four's preceding film versions before, but with this franchise's iterations of Marvel's first family of heroes distinguishing themselves from the prior film versions, it makes one ponder the possibilities. Thoughts?

It's been said that Mole Man is expected to appear in the film, despite the Four having already fought and defeated him and his mole creatures, particularly Giganto, in the tie-in comic. It may not be officially confirmed yet, but with Hauser portraying an "undisclosed" role and Mole Man being seen in it, I for one think that all signs point to this being the case. Thoughts?
