I was rewatching Captain America: The First Avenger when my younger sibling brought up when Cap and Tony time-traveled to Camp Lehigh (post-CA:TFA), and then, me being me, had a thought: How did the Tesseract wind up in Asgard?

Sometime between the early 40's and the early 2010's the Tesseract somehow when from the security of Camp Lehigh to that vault thing in Asgard. Is this ever explained in the MCU?

How is Loki escaping with the tesseract supposed to be part of Avengers Endgame? That timeline is deemed as an alternate one, so how would it be part of the film? I do have one theory though, after the Loki Season 2 finale, infinite timelines were created, so maybe we could have been watching that bit of the film in an alternate timeline, because no one talks about what happened with Loki escaping with the tesseract after they get back from the time heist. It’s probably just a scene marvel added to drag on the film longer and to start a show about the TVA.

Also, another question, how is the sacred timeline, sacred, when they still have the old gamora in it? Did they erase the timeline thanos came from in Avengers endgame? This whole thing is so confusing

The Tesseract was a reinterpretation of the Cosmic Cube from the comics, which can warp reality in accordance with the will of whoever worlds it. And then there's the Reality Stone, which controlled reality. Kinda makes one wonder a little why they didn't make the Tesseract the containment vessel for the Reality Stone in favor of the Space Stone. Such a fusion might've had the Reality Stone and the Tesseract augment and merge their respective reality altering powers together as one, and the Tesseract might've glowed red instead of blue. Then again, perhaps the term "cosmic" in the artifact's M.C.U. name might've implied that it was supposed to be the container for the Space Stone.

If Howard stark had all the same materials of as Tony and the blueprints for an arc reactor, do you think Howard could make suits and weapons on par with Tony? Cause being smart runs in the family, I think. I mean he did create Captain America and in an alternative timeline the Hydra Stomper, which basically had an overpowered arc reactor inside.

Is red skull really dead what if he some how escapes the tesseract?

If Malekith and the Dark Elves had no trouble invading Asgard, why did Thanos wait until after Ragnarok to steal the Tesseract?

Was he worried that Asgard's forces may have been too much for him and his armies?

Riiight so as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The First Avenger, direct contact with the space and power stones has immediate negative consequences for less-powerful beings. Also, the Tesseract is shown to melt through metal. The Aether has negative consequences, but not quite as fast-acting.

Loki is shown to hold the Tesseract with his bare hands - Does this mean he is powerful enough to wield an infinity stone?

Also, does use of magic artifacts containing a stone allow lesser beings to use the stone? (Captain America uses the scepter in Endgame)

Does the exploding-thing only apply to the power stone?

If Loki left the Tesseract on Asgard, would it have been destroyed along with the kingdom?

Okay, so when was Howard looking for Steve find the Tesseract in the ocean(because it never says on here under the 1940s)? Also when is that scene where Peggy gets Steve’s folder with that picture of scrawny Steve? If anyone can shed some light on when these two scenes after the salute by the Commandos takes place, it would be appreciated.

In First Avenger and Avengers, The Tesseract transports people in a blue beam thingy, whereas in infinity war and endgame, it makes a wormhole. Why this difference ?

Remember Endgame? That cinematic masterpiece? One plot hole I have not internally justified (and believe me, I justify lots of plot holes) is: How did the Avengers get the space stone back in the Tesseract to give it back to the 80s SHIELD? Anyone?

Continuing the "Scene Discussion" is the surprising moment, where Loki, from an alternate 2012, manages to obtain the Tesseract, and uses it to escape (which will lead into his solo series)

The characters from this discussion are from the Ant-Man movies, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Avengers.

I know Hydra loves exploiting enhanced and gifted individuals for there benefit I feel like Nick Fury does the same. One example of this is Ghost from Ant-Man and the Wasp. Ghost was a little girl who was afraid of herself and her capabilities. S.H.I.E.L.D. promised her a cure and instead used her as a living weapon. Another is Eva Belyakov from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury sent them to Bahrain to recruit a Eva to join S.H.I.E.L.D. even though that deal went south what would he have done with her ? Second was Daisy Johnson/Quake who is also from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. after Cal and Jiaying started looking for her S.H.I.E.L.D. took her in as in 0-8-4. I’m suprised S.H.I.E.L.D. didn’t run tests on her and find out about her irregular DNA (though the reason for this could be because she was a baby). Another is Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne who were S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists before turning to field work. Though we don’t know if they willingly transitioned it can be assumed he didn’t want his technology to fall into the wrong hands so willingly transitioned. But Nick Fury doesn’t just want enhanced individuals but objects including the Tesseract. If you have seen The Avengers you know what happened there and even though he provided an explanation I don’t find it valid because he already had enhanced individuals working for him so why would he need a vast amount of weapons. I assume you get my point but if you have an argument I would love to hear it in the comments.

Could we see Thanos again in Loki? Nope. Probably not. But I had an idea...

So in the Loki TV series, which takes place in the alternate 2012 timeline, Thanos and the Black Order are still around (only the alternate 2014 version was killed), and so are all the other heroes who have died before Endgame besides Phil Coulson at the moment. I just thought of something really important I am not sure many others have thought of. So, remember, the Tesseract is a really important and powerful object. I am sure it will be a really big and important part of the series itself. But others will be looking for it, and after this all of the Avengers- especially Thor- might have a bigger problem- to find Loki before he causes more mischief? Okay- let's get back to the present- this is not the somewhat mischievous hero Loki has become by Avengers: Infinity War- this is the Loki who is fresh from almost destroying New York, and full of revenge on his brother Thor. Remember, he was working for Thanos before. So, will he give the Tesseract to Thanos and that's it? Probably not, though if he still has the Tesseract by the TV series, Thanos is still looking for it- so will he have a run-on with Thanos and the Black Order, Ronan or anyone else? And meanwhile, Thor and maybe the rest of the Avengers will be looking for the Tesseract. So, what happens next? Well, we know that the TVA gets involved, along with a character played by Sophia di Martino (as seen in set photos) and maybe Roxxon. So, maybe they will somehow avoid Thanos and the Avengers and get out of this without seeing them at all. But remember, this is not your normal MCU TV series, this, along with all the Disney+ series, connects to the films and other TV shows in great depth, and maybe, just maybe, he will see at least Thor (maybe Sif), and some other Avengers. Heck, we could even see Gamora, Nebula or even somebody like Odin or Frigga. As you can see, this is getting messy, so let's cut to the chase- there seems to be a good chance that this could happen. It is all a theory, and theories can be right or wrong, or partially both, but in my opinion it seems like a good one, as the events of all the other films will be affected- maybe not so much Iron Man 3, but definitely The Dark World, GOtG, Age of Ultron, and basically every film after that, as well as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Winter Soldier if you think about it. Because of this one little change, the entire MCU will change, and we really don't know how. So, really, what will Loki bring for us? Well, as a fan and a theorist, I think that somehow Loki is going to loop back into the movies by somehow connecting with either Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4, or both, which equally would make sense. Loki is one of the heroes, as well as Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, who it seems to be hard for the MCU to really let go. He is a fan favorite, and I am pretty sure he won't be gone for a while. Does anyone think Thanos might return.

Because unlike in many concept arts that showed Thanos getting his head chopped off. He was erased from existence.

And as far as we know the effects of the stones could be undone.

So basically he is dead, but not dead, dead. He is like imprisoned. He gets erased and the stones are returned to their timeline. So basically it's like Odin trapping Hela.

There are still many villains we haven't seen in the mcu. But in the future, do u think any villains might bring thanos back?

A villain with the power to travel through time, like Kang the conquerer.
