Which path do you all think Xialing will take after taking control of the Ten Rings? Hope she does go full baddie on her brother & Katy and the world.
Which path do you all think Xialing will take after taking control of the Ten Rings? Hope she does go full baddie on her brother & Katy and the world.
Okay: What do you think the Ten Rings' full potential and origin are, and how do they factor into the broader MCU?
I watched Shang-Chi again last night and as much as I like it, I kind of feel like the Ten Rings are a ripoff of the League of Assassins. Immortal leader leads a secret organization mainly based in Asia full of highly trained martial artists, has been behind multiple historical events, and has a daughter that ends up taking over the organization.
It's been a while since it was first announced, and now that it's been converted from a miniseries into a film, it makes one wonder when it'll be released, and which phase of the M.C.U. it will be part of. Also, since it'll revolve around War Machine recovering stole Stark technology, do any of you at all suppose that the Ten Rings will have a role to play in it, given the events of the Iron Man 3 Prelude comic? Since the Mandarin said that they learned a lot about the War Machine armor, they essentially learned, by extent, a bit about Stark's tech, so it makes one scratch their head, know what I'm saying?
Is there any production reason why the MCU verison of the Ten Rings are larger then the comics where they were actually rings that fit on your fingers only. Just Curious
Before starting I want to say I am putting how likely they are to be released BEFORE PHASE 7—just saying because a lot of these projects will most likely happen eventually.
Also, this contains mild spoilers for Wakanda Forever, it won't absolutely ruin the movie if you keep reading, but you have been warned.
Eternals 2 - This is pretty likely since the end of Eternals left a pretty big cliffhanger. Also, Patton Oswald accidentally said that Eternals 2 is coming and I don't think he would know if it was coming out in phase 7 or later.
Doctor Strange 3 - Once again they left us on a pretty big cliffhanger just to not make another movie anytime soon, plus they are gonna want Doctor Strange in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars and it would just be weird to put the sequel after those two.
Okoye/Midnight Angels - This is likely, but I don't know how likely it is to come out before phase 7. Since Okoye got stripped of her rank as head Dora Milaje she is more likely to do her own thing and go on her own missions, but I just don't know if before phase 7.
World War Hulk - I am 100% certain that this will come out but I doubt before phase 7. They already set it up in She-Hulk, but I don't think they could turn Hulk more savage than he has ever been become an avengers level threat, then help the avengers in the two movies. This just seems like something good for after the Multiverse Saga.
Special Presentation: Silver Surfer - This special presentation is supposedly a prequel to the Fantastic Four. If that's true well then it has to be released before phase 7, BUT if it's not a prequel then I find it very unlikely to be released before phase 7.
Captain Carter - I know I said at the top that I though all of these projects would happen, but this contradicts what I said, I DON'T think this is happening at all. Now I do think we'll see a live action Captain Carter again, but getting her own project doesn't seem likely. Why do I think this you might ask and it's because if we get a Captain Carter project it would have to be set in another universe. And if its in another universe, It won't have any affect on the main MCU.
Hercules - This is another one I do think is happening but not before phase 7, this is mainly because I don't think he will show up again until Thor 5 becuase in the post-credit scene of Love and Thunder he was set up as a villain. And speaking of Thor 5 we have...
Thor 5 - This is likely. I'm not gonna go to in depth because this is basically in the same situation as the other two sequels above.
The Ten Rings - Ehhhhhh Possibly this is the biggest example of MAYBE I could give. I don't have any evidence to support either claim so I'm just going off what my brain thinks, and my brain thinks this could go either way.
X-Men - No.
Moon Knight Season Two - This is defineitly possible, but I'm gonna also go with a maybe on this one. It's not like season one left us on a big cliffhanger so it wouldn't be weird to put this after the two Avengers movies.
Young Avengers - Defineitly not. They are without a doubt leading up to the Young Avengers, but there is no way they're gonna have THREE Avengers movies in one phase.
Midnight Sons - I'm putting this in the same likelyness as the Young Avengers for the same reason.
RANKING LEAST LIKELY TO MOST LIKELY
13. X-Men
12. Captain Carter
11. Young Avengers
11. Midnight Sons
9. World War Hulk
8. Hercules
7. Okoye/Midnight Angels
6. The Ten Rings
5. Moon Knight Season Two
4, 3, 2, All the Sequels I mentioned
1. Special Presentation: Silver Surfer (If prequel to F4)
Who would love to see Okoye and Xialing team-up and maybe battle each other in a Future MCU film or Series?
Should be (Hui:哈,我听说阿富汗进展得挺顺利啊。Wenwu:这种混乱的局面正是拉扎想要的。)
Not be
I would love to see an Eternals Disney Plus Series. It would great to see other exploits of the Eternals throughout the 7000 years. It would be a fun way to see more of the history of the MCU.
Possible characters they could meet along the way:
Xu Wenwu
A Black Panther
A Black Knight
Young Odin
Thanos
The Ancient One
Or any other ancient heroes or villains
We do know Salma Hayek (Ajak) has signed on for multiple projects
Obviously, this isn´t the official timeline, but this one makes more sense to me. I´m open to other opinions.

Do we know how evil organizations like HYDRA, the Ten Rings, and the Red Room feel about each other? Since they're all interested in world domination, would they every consider working together, or are they working against one another since they view each other as rivals to rule the world?
According to Daniel Richtman, Marvel is considering the Shang-Chi spin-off centered on the Ten Rings organization with Xialing as the main character. Apparently, the series is only in talks and is yet to be greenlit.

Seeing as how Avengers: Endgame brought together all the heroes of the universe, minus the Eternals whose absence has already been explained, from now on will the MCU need to rely on origin stories to explain why other heroes weren’t around to assist in the conflicts of the world to include Thanos? I feel as if they come up with an excuse for each hero or group that chose to stay on the sidelines it might get rather cheap, or inexcusable. It seems as if the Eternals have already gotten a little hate despite the film not even being out yet, it makes me wonder if the answer is origin stories. Maybe with the Fantastic Four it picks up in the very beginning, showing how they get their powers, maybe make Blade a “street hero” kind of like Daredevil or Jessica Jones. Just curious as to how they are gonna explain the absence of so many future MCU characters, I know they can do it, just wondering about the how. What do you guys think?
Is it possible we could see Fin Fang Foom and the Makulans in the next Shang Chi film? In the comics the rings are said to come from the Makulans and the beacon at the end could’ve been sent to or from Fin Fang Foom the giant dragon.
My comics lore isnt good. So is Fin also a Makulan or a separate entity? Is it possible they blend the two? What are your thoughts?
I'm Chinese, and I like the new design very much …
A pair of Chinese traditional weapon the hooks(钩) in the middle.
And ten Chinese characters in the rings are very interesting…(Some words are very similar,The rest of the permutations are suitable for names)
权力(power)权势(power and influence)权威(authority)
力壮(strong)力势(Strength and momentum)力强(reluctantly)
壮伟(Strong and burly)壮强(Strong and powerful)
伟力(Great power)…comes great responsibility🤓
势力 (Influence)
宏伟(magnificent)
雄壮(sturdiness)雄伟(grand)雄杰(outstanding)雄势(bold momentum)雄威(majestic)
强权(might)强力(brute force)强壮(strong)强势(dominance)强雄(heroic)
威力(power/formidable force)
Watching the Shang Chi trailer, I found a couple of similarities.
Both have similar color schemes- orange, blue and white.
Both are kind of evil, abusive mentors for a league of assassins.
Their fighting techniques are awfully similar.
Is it not possible that Taskmaster/Death Dealer was working for both the Red Room and Ten Rings at the same time for some motive ?
Continuing the "Scene Discussion" is the One-Shot, featuring what happened to Trevor Slattery after Iron Man 3, where he is broken out of prison by the Ten Rings to be brought to the real Mandarin.
Let's discuss! How do you feel about this? Do you expect to see this story continue, possibly in Shang-Chi? What are your hopes for the real Mandarin?
Leave your thoughts on this down below, and make sure to leave any suggestions of scenes that you would like to discuss in future posts.
New details on how Shang-Chi connects to the Mandarin...and what Awkwafina's role might be in the film! Check this out!
According to the article, Awkwafina plays Fah Lo Suee. In the comics, she is Shang-Chi's sister, but according to the rumor she is actually the Mandarin's daughter, and Shang-Chi's love interest, which could tie Shang-Chi in with the Mandarin. These plot details also suggest that the Mandarin will have a very long history with Shang-Chi, saying that the Mandarin ran a orphanage for children with special gifts, which is where Shang-Chi was raised. This could connect the three characters, who are in the main characters in the film, very much, maybe even make the Mandarin a father figure to Shang-Chi? Well, thirteen years after we first saw the Ten Rings in Iron Man (and six after we last saw them in Ant-Man) it is nice for us to finally get our very infamous terrorist group back in the MCU. More so, I personally can't wait for more details to come- as some recent set videos hinted that the film might actually be set in 2020- a time period currently unexplored in the MCU, and like so up until 2023. I mean, we have seen post-snap media, including the majority of Runaways S3 in late 2018 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S6 in 2019, but neither of these dealt with the snap at all. Shang-Chi can hopefully get a focus and a grip on what life was like in these times (and we can hope that they didn't have coronavirus!). We have 364 days until we can see any of them on the big screen, so I guess we just have to wait and see!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings releases on May 7, 2021.
It stars Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Tony Leung (Mandarin), Akawafina, Michelle Yeoh, Rosalind Chao, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng!
The year "2020" graffitied onto a wall was seen on the set of Shang-Chi.
It is unclear whether the sign is actually part of the film, for now it's just speculation. Link: https://thedirect.com/article/first-shang-chi-footage-revealed-in-new-set-video
I think it would be interesting to have a movie that takes place in the 5 years between the Snap and the main events of Endgame.
