I know that it’s already established that it’s impossible to perfectly replicate Captain America because there’s no other Steve Rogers but am I the only one that thinks that there have been a lot of instances were people could’ve had a better chance at doing so if they actually did the exact same process that created him? Let me explain.
So we know that to create a Super Soldier, you need a Super Soldier Serum. But it seems like every other attempt at making a Super Soldier seemed to forget a key ingredient, Vita-Rays. I don’t know if that would’ve made any significant difference but it just seems like no other Super Soldier was made using these rays. But to be fair though, a lot of the serums were imperfect.
Johann Schmidt used a prototype version of the original Super Soldier Serum and became deformed. I mean this was most likely because of the serum being incomplete but still no rays were used.
Bruce Banner injected himself with a Super Soldier Serum and used Gamma-Rays instead of Vita-Rays, which turned him into the Hulk.
I’m pretty sure the other Winter Soldiers were just injected with a Super Soldier Serum with no rays used. They ended up being violent, aggressive, and insubordinate.
Emil Blonsky got injected with an imperfect version of the serum with no types of rays being used. He ended up also becoming mentally unstable with the edition of a deformed spinal column. This was most likely caused by the serum being imperfect but I’d like to point out how still no rays used.
My point is that we know that nobody has ever been able to perfectly replicate Steve Rogers because of Steve Rogers’ character alone and we know that a lot of the serums have failed simply because they weren’t perfect but I thought it was interesting that we’ve never seen or heard of any other attempt using Vita-Rays like Steve Rogers. Plus the ones who were best results either were injected with almost perfectly recreated serums. However, I do think it was most likely just issues with character where they couldn’t replicate Steve because the serum amplifies both good and bad and Steve was just pure good. Like the Flag-Smashers didn’t necessarily have any except for one tiny little flaw, they were terrorists. Then John Walker also got injected with the same replicated serum as the Flag-Smashers but he already shown signs of having some internal issues before the serum and the serum made them worse.
P.S.- I honestly think that Bucky Barnes, Isaiah Bradley, and Alexei Shostakov were honestly two the best Super Soldier results behind Steve, possibly even as good as Steve. The only problems are that Bucky is traumatized, Isaiah was racially discriminated and used as a pawn, and Alexei just got fired. But regardless, I love all of them and they’re all just human.
