She could have at least appeared with her father on how her boyfriend destroyed Harlem back in The Incredible Hulk as part of the Sokovia Accords.

Why did Thaddeus Ross still want the members of the Avengers to be locked away in the Raft? He knew about Helmut Zemo's/Baron Zemo's actions and Thanos actions, so why did he still want the Avengers to be locked away? I never understood that. He should have let the Avengers go because it was Helmut Zemo the one who caused the explosion at the Sokovia Accords signing, not Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. The former framed the latter. Even though it was Zemo's fault for breaking up the Avengers, Ross was (kind of/sort of) also responsible for the Avengers spliting up because of the Accords. Also why did he attend Tony Stark's funeral and not arrest the Avengers while being there. I mean Ross was there for a reason, he grieved for Tony Stark alongside the others who were there. The Sokovia Accords were still a thing around this time as they weren't repealed until She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's release. Let me know down below.
Also was Thaddeus Ross a victim of the Snap or not because I have no idea if he was snapped or not? I also did not know Donald Trump supoorted the Sokovia Accords.
Helmut Zemo...
The Sokovia Accords...
Or the actions of the Avengers themselves.
Couldn't be a poll because of the community guidelines...
I know this is a really old topic, but I couldn't come up with anything else.
Why did the government repeal the Sokovia Accords?
https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Sokovia_Accords#Repealed
The government, the media and the general public demonized its opponents like Captain America and its allies and blame them for everything wrong that happened from the Chitauri attack on New York.
They would never listen to anyone about its flaws or Thaddeus Ross’s wrongdoings. They think the Accords are perfect and infallible and that Ross is a shining light of law of order.
They are incapable of empathising with anyone who disagrees with them. They are incapable of owning up to and learning from their mistakes. They want to persecute and lock away Steve Rogers and don’t give a shit what problems the Accords had caused such as the Avengers splitting up, leading to Thanos wiping out half the universe. They would rather continue blaming the Avengers while sitting at home, sipping their cups of tea, assuring themselves the Accords are the best thing ever. Just ask Ross.
So how dare they sweep all that under the rug and welcome the Avengers back into society when its convenient for them.
So why the hell did they repeal the Accords after everything they done!?
I think the Sokovia Accords are right, I don’t need to give much reason why, one look at the Age of Ultron final battle proves it, that city was destroyed. why the fuck was it repealed!
So, when I was reading up on the Sokovia Accords, I noticed that it said it covered individuals with powers (IE Thor or Spider Man). Wouldn't that technically exclude Tony Stark and James Rhodes from the accords, since they don't have powers that make them heroes (unless you count the suits?)
I was checking the Sokovia Accords page and in the Appearances category I noticed that it appears in Helstrom mentioned in a newspaper. I went to the reference link but the page is down. Could someone pass me a screenshot or tell me at what minute of chapter 3 said newspaper appears. I need to keep an eye on it.
When Inhumans were popping up all around the globe during the Inhuman Outbreak, it makes me wonder if any of the Defenders got wrapped up in all the chaos.
Were Matt, Jessica, Luke, or Danny ever targeted by the Watchdogs? Did Malick/Hydra ever seek them out to build Hive’s army? Were they on S.H.I.E.L.D.’s radar?
Considering the fact that it would be hard to tell if they were Inhuman, it just really makes me curious what they were up to during this time period. Don’t forget that the outbreak happened around the same time as the Sokovia Accords, which could have been potentially even more drama for them to deal with.
In short, I would really like to know how the Inhuman Outbreak and the Sokovia Accords affected the Defenders.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I think Matt was still presumed dead at this time, which means he wouldn’t really be affected by all this. Additionally, I’m not so sure Danny’s powers were common knowledge, so he may have been fine. Jessica and Luke would still definitely been affected, though.
In the Marvel Comics, Moon Knight actually had a daughter, her name is Diatrice Alreau.
Here’s the link to confirm⬇️ https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Diatrice_Alraune_(Earth-616)
Now, with Moon Knight as the next in the row of Marvel TV Shows on Disney Plus, here’s my idea for this character to appear in the MCU
(NOTE:THIS ISN’T OFFICIAL.THIS IS MY IDEA FOR A MARVEL CHARACTER.NOTHING IS CONFIRMED.THIS IS JUST A THEORY)
“isn’t it wrong to fight for the rights of superheroes after they have fought for ours”
Full Name: Kimberly “Kym” Diatrice Spector-Alraune
Actress: Sierra Anne McClainn
Home: Broxn, New York (or wherever the “Moon Knight” series takes place)
Occupation: Student, Activist, Fangirl
Likes: Superheroes, Avengers(except Iron Man), spending time with her dad, Moon Knight
Dislikes: Her mom, Thunderbolt Ross, Sokovia Accords, Iron Man, the Avengers disbanded, her parents’ divorce, J Jonah Jameson
Family: Marc Spector/Moon Knight (Father), Marlene Alreaune (Mother)
Friends: Brad Davis, Jeffrey “Jeff” Wilde
Enemies: Anton Morgar/Midnight Man
Notes:
I based her on Hope Van Dyne/Wasp and Michelle Jones “MJ” Watson, since their both re-adaptations of Marvel Characters (Hope Van Dyne is the daughter of the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne and Michelle Jones is another version of Mary Jane Watson)
She’s about the same age as Peter Parker and Kate Bishop
Her parents (Marc Spector and Marlene Aureaune) divorced at the moment of the snap. Marc was one of the victims of the snap, leaving Kym under her mother’s care. She spent the rest 5 years depressed, until the Avengers manage to bring everyone back, including her father.
She is an activist that leads a series of protests against the Sokovia Accords and other events that are blamed on superheroes (she protested in favor of Spider-Man being innocent). However, her protests often lead her to trouble, such as starting a fight or getting caught by security.
Her favorite song is “Drops of Jupiter”
She’s not a fan of Iron Man, since he was the first avenger to be in favor of the Sokovia Accords
Assuming you were in the MCU*
I know this wiki says the Avengers have disbanded, but since that’s never said explicitly in the movies it had me wondering which heroes were on the most current roster of the Avengers.
Feel free to disagree with me in the comments, but the only active Avengers seem to be War Machine and The Hulk.
Ronin (Clint Barton): Retired, for now
Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff): Deceased
Iron Man (Tony Stark): Deceased
The Hulk (Bruce Banner): Seems to be an active hero. He wasn’t on Earth when the Sokovia Accords first came into effect, but when he returned in 2018 it can be safely assumed he most likely signed the Accords. It’s in his character that he’s always been fearful or his own powers so I could see him wanting to take action that makes him feel more responsible about his powers. Also, if you take the Endgame deleted scene as canon (if you want to), he is seen actively working as a hero in his new Smart Hulk form, meaning he just has some sort of arrangement with the United States government in order to still operate under the Accords
Captain America (Steve Rogers): Deceased, most likely
Thor Odinson: Not on earth
Vision: In hiding
Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff): Deceased
Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff): Wanted fugitive for the events in Westview
War Machine (James Rhodes): Signed the Accords and is most likely still active as War Machine. He did violate them in Infinity War when he fought in the Battle of Wakanda and didn’t arrest Steve’s Secret Avengers, but since that was so close to Thanos’ snap I don’t think he ever received a court Marshall since the world had much bigger problems than him. I would also consider Rhodey to be the current leader of the Avengers, since he is more of a leader than Bruce is
The Falcon (Sam Wilson): Never signed the Accords and probably never will out of principle and out of respecting the mindset of Steve. He was pardoned for his crimes in Civil War since he helped defeat Thanos, but that doesn’t mean he would go immediately sign the Accords. When we see him in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 1, he is working as a private military contractor, NOT as an Avenger. He is allowed to operate on foreign soil since he does not have any superpowers, so the United States military is not violating the Accords by bringing him into Africa. By the end of the show, he is the new Captain America, but he still hasn’t signed the Accords. So, it is safe so assume he is still working as a military contractor, but by him not signing the Accords, he is not officially on the team and if there was some sort of major battle happening, the United Nations would not call Sam into battle.
Spider-Man (Peter Parker): He probably did sign the Accords offscreen since he was on team Stark in Civil War (which is probably why he was legally allowed to operate as a vigilante in New York, he has special permission from the United States government). However, he has now been framed by Beck as a mass murderer and is under investigation, so it’s not likely that he is “on call” by the United Nations. Again, if there was some sort of major catastrophe, the United Nations would not call Peter into battle.
Rocket: Left the team to rejoin the Guardians of the Galaxy
Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers): Not on Earth
Nebula: Left the team to rejoin the Guardians of the Galaxy
Okoye: Left the team after the Blip and now is strictly operating under Wakandan military
Ant-Man (Scott Lang): Much like Sam, Scott was on Team Cap during Civil War and has never signed the Sokovia Accords. So, according to the world governments, Scott is not officially on the team. Scott may sign it in the future so that he can be allowed to operate as Ant-Man (similar to how the government has allowed Peter and Bruce to be vigilantes within the borders of the United States), but as of now he has not signed. So, officially Scott is supposed to be retired, but there’s a good chance he will violate the Accords again in his next movie.
So there you have it. Under my interpretation, it seems like Bruce and Rhodey are the only “official” Avengers. Avenger being defined as what the world government has officially listed as the team. Let me know if you disagree
Why is Everett Ross depicted in a heroic light in Black Panther, when he, and all other Sokovia Accords supporters (except Team Iron Man, of course) hate the Avengers, especially the Anti-Accords ones and want them all locked away without due process like animals.
Ross even belittled Captain America.
So why root for him?
All these Sokovia Accords supporters are blind fanatics who demonize the Avengers who stand against the Accords and just see the Pro-Accords members as human weapons to use and would see nothing wrong with the Accords if anything went wrong and are therefore enemies of the Avengers.
Yet they welcome the Avengers back to American society with open arms once Thanos snapped away half the population and then thank them as heroes once they bring them back? If I were in their shoes, I would give them the middle finger and finish them off for treating me like trash!
So, I'm watching through Civil War again, and I wanted to take a look at Ross' map that he shows the Avengers when presenting the Accords. In the film, he mentions the Battle of New York (in New York), the Battle at the Triskelion (in Washington DC), the Battle of Sokovia (in Sokovia), and the Attack on the IFID Headquarters (in Lagos) are all mentioned before Ross stops giving examples.
I tried to connect each dot on said map to an event caused by the Avengers pre-Accords, but there're some that just don't line up to any event, even if you don't specifically look for Avengers-related events. Here are the ones that do line up:
Los Angeles, California, USA - Duel of Los Angeles (Iron Man 1)
This is the battle between Stane and Stark
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Ambush in Rio de Janeiro (The Incredible Hulk)
This is the battle between Hulk and the military
Cairo, Egypt - Aerodynamic Marvel Rescue (Iron Man 2: Public Identity)
A comic-only event that doesn't even have a page on the wiki, merely a mention on the "Egypt" page, although the event involved both Stark and Ross so it makes sense to be on the map
Hunan, China - Massacre in Hunan (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
This is the only event i could find that would fit in the lower dot in Asia, being the event where Quake was taken from Zabo as an infant and Jiaying was taken to Whitehall for experimentation
The other dots, the one above the Korean Peninsula and the Australian dot, don't have any known event attached to them as far as I can tell, and the Hunan event is shaky at best given the dubious canonicity of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the lack of connection to any Avenger. The Cairo event is also shaky since Stark didn't actually cause any damage there - it was simply a rescue mission as far as I can tell.
Do you guys have any ideas about what those other dots could possibly be, or maybe some other ideas for what the LA, Rio, Cairo, and Hunan dots could be?
Captain America: Civil War presents what few other supporters of the Accords, besides Team Iron Man, as complete jerkasses who emotionally manipulate them into signing the Accords, dehumanize them, treating them like volatile weapons instead of people, belittle the Anti-Accords members and lock them up without having them stand trial.
There are no sympathetic characters who support the Accords but sympathise with the Anti-Accords members (again, other than Team Iron Man). They are stubbornly against them and would sooner spit on them than engage in a civil discussion - hence my longstanding hatred of Accords supporters.
(If they're going to be toxic to me, why shouldn't I be to them?)
The Accords ultimately lead to the Avengers splitting up and, in Infinity War, stopped them Avengers from fighting Thanos as Thaddeus Ross is more concerned with capturing Team America than fighting a new alien threat.
And yet the United States government have the gall to welcome the Avengers back after all the smearing and other horrible things they done to them?
Questions regarding public opinion of the Avengers during Infinity War and Endgame.
Why didn't Thaddeus Ross further smear the Avengers by blaming the Snap entirely on them when it was the Sokovia Accords that hindered them in the first place? Since everyone wanted the Accords to happen, of course the would gobble up whatever he says like they're his cult! They didn't have a problem with him locking the Avengers up without a trial. Due Process is clearly for non-superheroes only.
Why did nobody blame the Avengers like they blamed them for the Chitauri attack on New York while ignoring that the government itself fired a nuke to destroy the whole city and Tony Stark didn't need government approval to redirect it to save the city and blow up the alien mothership?
They sing to whatever tune the government says and don't give a damn what the Avengers say so why lend their ears to them after the Blip?
Why did the United States welcome the Anti-Accord Avengers back, especially Steve Rogers leading group therapy sessions, when they branded them fugitives and enemies of the state for opposing the Accords and everybody hates them for it?
You've seen how, in Civil War, everyone who supported the Accords, other than the Pro-Accords Avengers of course, condescended, accused and belittled the Anti-Accords members. It's pure tribalism.
And why didn't they try and arrest them even after everyone was brought back?
I know it’s completely bonkers of me to hold such a long-lasting grudge over such a fictional matter so something is wrong with me but I need to let this out anyway.
I despise each and everyone who supported the Sokovia Accords that was designed to keep the Avengers on a leash by corrupt and selfish governments that, along with the people, blamed all the problems that occurred on them (when a lot of it was the governments, especially Thaddeus Ross’ fault) and downplayed the efforts they took in saving the world time and again. They went behind the Avengers behinds to write the Accords without their input, wanting to keep them leashed as human weapons and keep them from saving the world when it matters and the public, indoctrinated to demonise them, sing along to whatever tune they sing and likely celebrated the Anti-Accord members imprisonment and called for their recapture when Captain America broke them out.
What right do they have to feel sorry for the Avengers?
Why would they care that Zemo committed the crimes he did to split up the Avengers, given they want the Anti-Accords Avengers behind bars?
What right do they have to thank them for undoing Thanos’ snap?
What right do they have to abolish the Sokovia Accords, welcome them back to society and even thank Anti-Accords Avengers like Captain America for undoing the Snap after having persecuted them, demonised them, hunted and locked them away like animals and viewed them as human weapons to be used?
What right do the Pro-Accords members of the Avengers have to bury the hatchet with their Anti-Accord enemies after they brought them into prison? What right did CIA agent Everett Ross have to taunt Zemo for trying to break up the Avengers when he supports the Sokovia Accords, belittled Captain America’s team for going against it and gladly wanted them all imprisoned? What right did Thaddeus Ross have to attend Tony Starks funeral after everything he done to the Avengers?
They were so ready to blame everything on the Avengers and ignore the good they’ve done. Ross could’ve publicly pinned the entire blame of the Snap on the Avengers and the whole world would gobble it up without question like the brainless animals they are!
If I were in their shoes, I would’ve gladly helped Thanos wipe out half the universe then round up the survivors to lock up in the Raft to starve so they would know the very pain the Anti-Accord Avengers felt under their thumb. Hell, I would’ve done the snap myself after I use the Tesseract to teleport to the White House and force Thaddeus Ross and the president to confess what they done to the Avengers before killing them painfully then announce my vengeance to the world so they would know why half the human race had to die before I snap my fingers.
(Yes. I have some deep-seated issues and yes, I need help.)
[Spoilers for TFATWS E2]
So, if Bucky is now working as a private citizen military contractor for the United States on foreign soil, doesn’t that mean the United States is violating the Sokovia Accords? Bucky is an enhanced individual who is representing the United States (Walker said that he will be working for the military instead of therapy now).
Surely a United Nations special council would have to approve of Bucky operating outside of the United States right?
And furthermore, Bucky hasn’t even signed the Sokovia Accords. He shouldn’t be allowed to be involved in any combat whatsoever until he signs them because he is enhanced.
So i recently thought that since Ultron is an AI, he could come back and he could be General Thunderbolt Ross in disguise as Ultron can shapeshift in the comics. Here's the evidence
Like i said. He's an artificial intelligence which can travel the internet
If Ultron is Ross, it makes total scene as ultron wanted to cause the avengers extinction and he can do that with the accords and Ross being secretary of defence makes it so easy to set the accords in action
The accords set in a bit after the events of AOU
What you think?
Don't you think we should change it to inactive. Since they are now gone thanks to the snap.
After what has happened in Endgame, what are the odds that the Sokovia Accords will be abolished? And what would Thaddeus Ross, Matthew Ellis, and all other government and U.N. leaders think about the universe itself upon learning what the Infinity Stones are capable of?
