In the event that a movie is ever made about the character Nova/Sam Alexander, what are the chances that it will start with a flashback to Thanos' invasion of Xandar and the last Nova helmet is sent out into space to find one worthy of wearing it?
Do you think Nova will get his powers from an Infinity Stone? Do you think he will be as powerful as Captain Marvel? I know Infinity Stones are destroyed, but remember Xandarians had the Power Stone, what if they harvested its energy or something?
Richard Rider, a teenager who found a Nova helmet and became part of the peace-keeping space-cops, the Nova Corps.
The way I would like him to be introduced is have Rhoman Dey go to Earth and give the helmet to Richard. And then he would go on and try to rebuild the Corps after the destruction of Xandar. Meeting friends and foes along the way. I would like Diamondhead to be the villain of his movie.
The character was rumored to make an appearance since the introduction of the Nova Corps in GotG vol 1. And Kevin Feige himself showed interest in the character.
Want about you? How do you want to see him introduced? Do you want him in his own movie or show? Or should he be introduced in another character's movie/show? What actor would you cast in the role?
In a Q&A conducted by Wired, Joe and Anthony Russo hinted that Richard Rider / Nova and perhaps even Nova Corps members, were actually in the shot of all the heroes assembling against Thanos’ armies.
To be fair, there were thousands of people, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Nova Corps were there after all. They deserved that chance to get back at Thanos.
What are your thoughts? Personally, I love this idea. It lends credence to the theory (and my personal headcanon) that Nova’s origin story is tied to the Destruction of Xandar. Plus, I’d really love to see Endgame’s final battle from Nova’s perspective as he leads Nova Corps members against Thanos, perhaps near the beginning of a Nova solo film.
