Is Modok and Yellowjacket the same person in the comics or any other form of media or was that just some random creative liberty they did?

I want to get an opinion about this, I think that Darren Cross' character page should be changed from M.O,D.O.K. to just Darren Cross. I have two different reasons for this, firstly Cross has had more than one alias in the Ant-Man and Wasp trilogy, starting as Yellowjacket in the first film before becoming M.O.D.O.K. in the third film and secondly, his arc in Quantumania is about him gaining the confidence to stand up to Kang and be the person that he wants to be rather than the person he thinks he has to be because of his past. For as ridiculous as his conversation with Cassie and "redemption" at the end of the film was, it is clear that by the end of the film, Cross does not self-identify as M.O.D.O.K. anymore
Emperor's
This is by far 1 of the best depictions of an Avenger's power level within the MCU. To get an understanding of how powerful actual 616 Cap Marvel i will summarize it, she can transmute matter, create constructs, absorb energy (even from the brain) which made it hard to damager her with energy weapons, & her natural lifting strength was easily 25 tons. She casually caught the top of the chrysler building like it was nothing. This is all without going Binary which is basically her going Super Saiyan in every aspect. Within the MCU, they changed her power set from less versatile to raw power. While in the MCU she doesn't absorb serval forms of energy, she could now generate it to some unknown degree as well as being able to basically enter Binary mode at will & thus allows her to murc planets with ease according to What If? 10/10
Nerf That Didn't Go Well-
I did enjoy the movie & while the Mandirin is suppose to be an Iron Man villain, I didn't mind this change. So I'm not saying this because I hate the movie. However, before the movie came out I binged whatever Shang-Chi content I could I realized the nerfed a guy who technically doesn't have powers.....some how. Shang-Chi in the comics is suppose to be the best fighter in Marvel mythos. Not 1 of the best, he's the best. He has mastered all forms of unarmed combat known to man but only chooses to use Shaolin Kung-Fu. He can defeat superpowered being with his skill alone & normal opponents that aren't highly trained martial artist usually go down with ease. He created a martial for Spider-Man that compensated for his lost ESP & it made Spidey a freakin beast. He's also at peak condition so he technically should have been able to pull Super Soldier feats of physical power. If you realized, I said he "technically" didn't have powers is because he learned one, Chi. He can manipulate his chi to various degrees while lesser than comics Iron Fist, it was still good. He could shot chi bolts & increase his physical abilities. He could also detect chi which allowed him to detect anyone within his vicinity including a telepathically invsible telepath.
Before y'all say they had to nerf his skills to make it interesting, look up Blood And Bone: 10v1 Street Fight Scene (Michael Jai White HD CLIP). You'll see what comic Shang Chi would relatively fight like. Besides his father who has been fighting for centuries, Shang Chi should have been one-shotting his opponents.
Great movie, Shang Chi's skill was pretty good but I wish they keep his demon king level combat skills.
Does anyone have a timeline of the MCU, I would look at the timeline page but it’s too hard to read.
Hi fellow Marvelites. Since the release of the second Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, there has been too much debated on whether Corey Stoll is playing M.O.D.O.K. separately from his previous appearance as Yellowjacket in Ant-Man or if M.O.D.O.K. is a shrunken Yellowjacket. The latter sounds more likely due to the shot showing M.O.D.O.K. with Darren Cross' face, but what if the film's screenwriter Jeff Loveness has already confirmed that?
https://www.gamesradar.com/ant-man-and-the-wasp-quantumania-modok-inspiration/
By the way, Jeff confirms that M.O.D.O.K. was inspired by Frank Grimes from The Simpsons. XD
This wiki currently has a page for both MODOK and Yellowjacket. If they turn out to be the same character (which they most likely will be), will the two pages be combined?
They are both played by Corney Stoll, but that wiki says that it's not the same character. Why?
I have a theory, while it may or may not be 100% accurate that M.O.D.O.K. is actually Darren Cross/Yellowjacket. While this is a theory spread all around for a while by a number of people, I agree with some people that M.O.D.O.K. is in fact Darren Cross. Seeing the new trailer, it seems that Cross won't be reformed after all, but one of Kang the Conqueror's followers. My new theory is that after being transported to the Quantum Relam in Ant-Man, Cross lands somewhere in the Quantum Relam and ditches his Yellowjacket suit after it was destroyed by Scott Lang/Ant-Man. Cross is later either found by Kang the Conqueror or meets with Kang the Conqueror and Kang asks Cross if he wants to join him and his empire and Cross accepts. Kang then gives Cross the M.O.D.O.K. suit and Doomsday Chair or Cross aquires them somehow and Cross then becomes M.O.D.O.K. afterwards.
I have no idea how to explain his oversized head though. I was gonna say his head grew big from Gamma Radation like Samuel Sterns, but this didn't make any sense, so I debunked it. But what do you think? Do you think M.O.D.O.K. is actually Darren Cross? Let me know down below.
I have a theory for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaina. While this may or may not be the case as Quantumania doesn't release in like two months, I have a feeling that Darren Cross/Yellowjacket would be a reformed villain in Quantumaina. While we had many villains in the MCU reform themselves like the Thunderbolts team roster, I was inspired by this from a character named SMG3 who was a bad guy and was banished to a graveyard and become reformed there and later turned into a good guy. I have a feeling that Yellowjacket would be reformed as he is stuck in the Quantum Realm for a long time and he realized his mistakes and reformed from his bad guy antics. While I'm not sure if Darren Cross is M.O.D.O.K as many people say, this could be true on the other hand. Most Marvel villains who are tipacially villains in in the Marvel Comics become reformed villains in the MCU like Ghost, so M.O.D.O.K. could be a reformed villain/character in this film. Cross could also be a minor villain in Quantumaina as Bill Murray's character is presumably a supporting villain in the film as Kang the Conqueror is the main villain in Quantumaina. I can't tell if Cross will appear in Quantumaina or not as the character isn't mentioned in the cast list on the Quantumaina Wikipedia article.
I guess we'll have to wait two more months until Quantumaina releases or for another trailer for Quantumaina to release to see if the rumors are true that Cross will appear in the film or if he's the one plioting the M.O.D.O.K. suit.
Ir Yellowjacket (Darren Cross) died in Ant Man then how is he going to be in Ant Man 3?
After watching Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp for the fifteen millionth time, I had a few questions that I finally decided to ask about.
Number One: In Ant-Man, Scott is trapped inside the compartment where the Yellowjacket is kept. How come he didn't just enlarge to his regular size to escape? I don't believe this question was answered in the movie, and if so I didn't catch the answer.
Number Two: In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Janet van Dyne was stuck in the quantum realm for around 30 years. She clearly aged and knew how long she was in there, but in Avengers: Endgame, Scott was trapped for five years and did not age at all. He said it felt like 5 hours to him, so if Janet were to be stuck in the quantum realm for 30 years, it would feel like about 1 day and 6 hours and she probably would not age. How does this work? Was it because they were under different circumstances and Scott and Janet were in different parts of the quantum realm?
(P.S: If these have both been answered, sorry for repeating these questions. I also have not read the comics either, so I wouldn't know about what happened in those.)
I was re-watching the first Ant-man movie in the final act left me with a big question. Is Darren Cross alive in the quantum realm. both Janet van Dyne survived for decades and Scott Lang survived for 5+ hours. The reason I have a question about Darren is because he shrunk down in an unstable form. I think this is a very important question to answer because we haven’t seen the end of the quantum realm. ant-man and the wasp show the city in the quantum realm and they are theories that victor von doom is the ruler. for those who think he’s alive, my secondary question is “Will we see him again.
