He killed an innocent dog. I know he did it to join HYDRA, but you don't shoot a freaking adorable, innocent dog. He's pretty much a monster in my eyes. That's why he's my second favorite villain, because I hate him.

I just rewatched the beautiful piece of art that is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1, Episode 17: Turn, Turn, Turn. As we know, Ward reveals his true colors at the end of the episode by executing Victoria Hand to save John Garrett.
I wanted to pose the thought experiment: what would Ward have done had Garrett perished during the Battle at the Hub?
Ward begins his betrayal of the team out of his loyalty to protecting Garrett. I am reminded of a quote he says in the next season: "I was never loyal to HYDRA. I was loyal to Garrett" (S2E03). We see him prove this in Season 2: he readily betrays Bakshi, only gets close to Whitehall to bring Skye to her father, and then allies himself with Coulson against HYDRA. He only becomes a HYDRA leader out of spite for Kara's death, not for any ideological reason.
Additionally, when the HYDRA Uprising began, Ward had not yet revealed his true allegiance, had developed feelings for Skye (enough so that he later questions and challenges Garrett), and felt a genuine camaraderie with Coulson's Team (which he claims to regret destroying, S2E19).
So in a scenario where Garrett, seemingly Ward's only anchor to HYDRA at the time of the Uprising, was removed from the picture, is there a chance Ward would have abandoned HYDRA altogether?
I feel like they had a missed opportunity in AoS Seven 7 when Daisy didn't tell Sousa about her relationship with Ward. Given they were both betrayed by their superiors who they trusted (Ward and Wilfred Malick), I feel like they could have used that as common ground for bonding. Plus, it would've been nice to see Daisy reflect on how far she had come since the beginning of the show.
If John Garrett wanted to know how Coulson came back from the dead, why didn't he just ask Alexander Pierce instead of going to all the trouble of having Ward spy for him?
Who is your favorite arch enemy in the MCU mine is between Black Panther's nemesis Killmonger and Phil Coulson's nemesis Grant Ward (although Ward can be consider the arch nemesis of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as a whole)
So in S1 E21 Garret tells Ward to shoot Buddy and asks if it’s a weakness. Ward then shoots in the sky and let’s Buddy run away but then the dog gets sniped. I always interpreted it as Garrett who didn’t think Ward could do it and was waiting. But the wiki says Ward sniped him after. Was there an official statement saying it was Ward? I always thought it was Garrett because it translates nicely with the scene inbetween this in present day where Garrett tells Ward to kill Fitz-Simmons and asks if it’s a weakness because he knows he couldn’t do it to Buddy. I also like the parallel later where Fitz says they know he still cares about them and he says he knows and it’s a weakness. Which relates to the flashback because he gave Buddy a chance back then even thought he probably wouldn’t survive in the wild and he gave them a chance in the ocean even though they probably wouldn’t survive. Let me know your thoughts?
I think it would be Daredevil, but Black Widow and Iron Fist would be high up as well.
So I rewatched it yesterday, and I’ve also seen all of agents of shield. I noticed that one part when they introduce who red skull is, and they same something about him and Zola sharing an affinity for a myth. There’s a picture with a guy with like an octopus head. Is that hive?
Honestly I don't know how else to say this, but SHIELD are hypocrites, and I can clearly see their crap. They portray themselves as the "good" guys while bad givibg others bad light. They try to make look themselves as saints, but they aren't. They are just as bad as HYDRA, and one scene rescuing people does not compensate it. It was SHIELD who practically took Ava Starr because of her powers, and didn't gave a crap that the girl was slowly dying from the unstable quantum in her. Melinda May killed a little girl. I know the girl was an inhuman that was putting others in danger, but still, she was just a little girl! May could have just knocked her out!
Lets see, Grant Douglas Ward, the traitor. I understand that Coulson and his team were betrayed by him, and that he did some awful things to them, but here is the question... did they do something to help him be better? No. They were too focused on hating him, on how thet felt, on their resentment, that didn't gave him a chance, but hey, Daisy betrayed them to Rising Tide, a hacktivist organization, but she's forgiven. Ward was manipulated for years by Garrett, practically, he appeared to have the Stockholme Syndrome. What about Leo Fitz in season 5 part B? He became the Doctor, but hey, he was also forgiven, unlike with Ward. And also Kora, SHIELD's former enemy whom they gave a chance to redeem. Another thing is... Ruby Hale. I mean, yeah, sure, she was a sadistic, cold, and ruthless HYDRA operative, but that's the only thing she have ever known since birth, she didn't know anything else, but that didn't matter to YoYo, so she sliced her throat out of revenge in the name of "saving" the future.
It has been shown that SHIELD apparently only forgives and gives second chances to those they like the most, and those they choose.
I wish Daisy and Ward fought in Season 3 (not season 2 because she wasn’t as good then). I think she would have won. Who do you think would have ?
What do you think happened to Grant in the timeline created by the chronicoms
I think that he might have a life similar to the one his framework counterpart had( Victoria Hand becomes his mentor , he becomes a hero and maybe gets in a happy relationship with agent 33 that doesn’t end like how it ended in the original timeline)
What makes me think it happened somehow like that is that Coulson mentioned that the reason Grant was a villain was because he had a villainous crazy father-figure and when he got helped by Victoria instead of Garret in the framework he became a good guy
Ward.

At the end of the Agents of Shield episode “Maveth”, Hive (now possessing the dead body of Grant Ward) just randomly appeared on Earth. But didn’t the portal close after Coulson and Fitz returned? How did Hive get back? Did they ever explain it?
Also, I’ve only just finished season 3 so please don’t spoil anything beyond its finale.
