Gert Yorkes

Nico never forgave Alex for never coming forward about what he learned of her sister Amy's death and how it pertained to the sacrifices in the Church of Gibborim. Then in "The Broken Circle", one of the last episodes, Gert died during the final battle against Morgan le Fay. I can't shake the nagging feeling that Alex should've been the one to die, redeeming himself in Nico's eyes and earning her forgiveness. Plus, from what we saw, Alex never got the chance to be forgiven by Nico. Obviously, Gert dying was in accordance with her death in the comics, but with Nico's grudge against Alex, I get the sense that either dying in the line of fire or sacrificing oneself to save the others from their common opponent is what it takes to be forgiven and/or for others to perceive someone differently. And knowing that Alex was the one who brought everyone together, the future versions of the Runaways in the final episode, "Cheat the Gallows", could've saved Alex through their actions and convinced their younger selves, especially Nico, not to hold the grudge anymore before they were erased from existence. (Not that I'm complaining, it's just what I think should've happened, anyway).

What do you think ever became of them after the series was cancelled? Do any of you think they got to forge lives of their own, continue to protect Los Angeles as heroes, or anything like that, or something else? I think it was such a great show, and it really makes me wonder what they started doing from there. Do any of you think it's at all possible that some, if not all, of them were victims of the Snap and were restored during the Blip? It may not have been recorded in any of their articles here, but given the state that the program ended in, the possibilities are potentially endless. And I gotta say: they're among my favorite Marvel teams, alongside the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men.

I actually really like the show! It’s pretty fun and gosh Karolina x Nico is so cute I love it. What are your thoughts? I need someone to talk to about the show I love it.

I have a little question that I just realised a few days ago. Why aren't there pages for Gert and Old Lace from the Time-Travelling Runaways timeline? Like, the ending of The Broken Circle takes place in that timeline, because Gert dies, which didn't happen in the original timeline because 2028 Chase saved her. And Old Lace, well, I get that we can't say much about her since she stayed in her timeline, but so did 2021 Chase and he still has a page. Is just a question, nothing else.
