I do see that they are the next evolution of the Human Race.
I do see that they are the next evolution of the Human Race.
Well, I've heard a lot of people say that the Marvel TV series Inhumans isn't canon simply because of how poorly received it was, in fact it's not even considered and is mostly ignored by fans.
Browsing the wiki I found this news: https://www.inverse.com/entertainment/marvel-eternals-screenwriters-interview
I personally didn't know about this and I found it quite interesting. It basically talks about how Marvel Studios prevented the Eternals writers from using Hawaii because Inhumans "had already burned that bridge."
If Marvel Studios didn't care that Inhumans wasn't canon, they would have let them use Hawaii. Of course, Marvel wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot. If they haven't decanonized Secret Invasion, they would do even less with Inhumans.
This also shows that poorly received products aren't exactly worthy of decanonization, something I think Kevin Feige emphasized some time ago, they prefer to improve something retroactively rather than decanonize it.
Note: I have a guilty pleasure with this series, although it is not the best I have seen, its characters and powers are varied and creative with the small budget it had.
If he had been Sorcerer Supreme for 4 years, would he have learned about the powerful race of gigantic beings that existed for millions of years from the books in Karma-Taj? He might even learn about the Eternals from Thor since he hangout with them.
1. Guardians of the Galaxy 4 could include other Eternals teams
2. It's already important in Brave New World
3. Thor could team up with the Eternals in Thor 5
4. A Celestial focused project
5. An Annihilation movie could connect several projects (Nova, Thor, The Eternals, & Guardians of the Galaxy)
6. Nova could include several Eternals
7. Eternals may have set up the MCU's Judgment Day (The same event in the comics)
8. Star-Lord has connections to the Celestials and the Eternals
9. The Eternals will probably have a role in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars
For those of you around during the Marvel Television era of the MCU, you might remember that in 2015, John Ridley (known for 12 Years a A Slave and American Crime) was brought on to Marvel Television to write and develop a "socially conscious" project for the ABC network. After a couple of years in early development, the project fizzled out and faded out of memory, especially with the pivot to Disney+ series.
This week, Ridley revealed that his dead series was to be an MCU installment of the Eternals. Although this has actually been known to insiders, I believe this is the first explicit reveal of what the project would have been.
Speaking about the project, Ridley said, "My version was the good version," Ridley said in the interview. "It was so f***ing weird. There was my version, a good version, which is good to me, which — that doesn’t mean anything. There was the version that [Marvel] ended up doing, which I don’t think… that version was particularly good. I’ll be honest."
You can read more about the project in the linked trades article here: https://deadline.com/2024/01/john-ridley-scrapped-marvel-tv-series-eternals-1235694583/
This revelation has interesting implications, as the Eternals could have been introduced into the universe in the format of a weekly television show.
1) Ajak
2) Gilgamesh
3) Ikaris
Considering that the Celestials created the universe, wouldn’t some Celestials, at the very least Arishem, know about the Sacred Timeline?
If so, that may be why they directed the Eternals to not interfere even when it seems like they should’ve.
Recently, I've rewatched Eternals to see if my opinion about the film would change
I think I've noticed a plot hole. Arishem said that the Deviants got out of his control and they started evolving. He created the Eternals as synthetic lifeforms, therefore they are not able to evolve.
Then how was Kro able to evolve by killing Eternals
It may not have been the finest entry to come in the M.C.U., but right now the future of those characters is largely uncertain. Some of the actors from Eternals want to return, and are largely confused on where their future with the franchise stands. Although it wasn't announced, it could be part of one of the future phases, like Phase 6 or 7. It's a long shot by far, given how unnecessary most considered it when it came out, but what do you all think?
They need to resolve the cliffhanger of the first movie and prepare the team for Kang Dynasty.
"Because they are artificial and not biological, they do not qualify as part of “life in existence,” allowing them to survive spells or events that specifically target living beings, such as the Snap."
Was it confirmed that all the Eternals survived the Snap? Or is it conjecture because Sersi said the Eternals were "never truly alive"?
I only find the Choising your path in life.
Before starting I want to say I am putting how likely they are to be released BEFORE PHASE 7—just saying because a lot of these projects will most likely happen eventually.
Also, this contains mild spoilers for Wakanda Forever, it won't absolutely ruin the movie if you keep reading, but you have been warned.
Eternals 2 - This is pretty likely since the end of Eternals left a pretty big cliffhanger. Also, Patton Oswald accidentally said that Eternals 2 is coming and I don't think he would know if it was coming out in phase 7 or later.
Doctor Strange 3 - Once again they left us on a pretty big cliffhanger just to not make another movie anytime soon, plus they are gonna want Doctor Strange in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars and it would just be weird to put the sequel after those two.
Okoye/Midnight Angels - This is likely, but I don't know how likely it is to come out before phase 7. Since Okoye got stripped of her rank as head Dora Milaje she is more likely to do her own thing and go on her own missions, but I just don't know if before phase 7.
World War Hulk - I am 100% certain that this will come out but I doubt before phase 7. They already set it up in She-Hulk, but I don't think they could turn Hulk more savage than he has ever been become an avengers level threat, then help the avengers in the two movies. This just seems like something good for after the Multiverse Saga.
Special Presentation: Silver Surfer - This special presentation is supposedly a prequel to the Fantastic Four. If that's true well then it has to be released before phase 7, BUT if it's not a prequel then I find it very unlikely to be released before phase 7.
Captain Carter - I know I said at the top that I though all of these projects would happen, but this contradicts what I said, I DON'T think this is happening at all. Now I do think we'll see a live action Captain Carter again, but getting her own project doesn't seem likely. Why do I think this you might ask and it's because if we get a Captain Carter project it would have to be set in another universe. And if its in another universe, It won't have any affect on the main MCU.
Hercules - This is another one I do think is happening but not before phase 7, this is mainly because I don't think he will show up again until Thor 5 becuase in the post-credit scene of Love and Thunder he was set up as a villain. And speaking of Thor 5 we have...
Thor 5 - This is likely. I'm not gonna go to in depth because this is basically in the same situation as the other two sequels above.
The Ten Rings - Ehhhhhh Possibly this is the biggest example of MAYBE I could give. I don't have any evidence to support either claim so I'm just going off what my brain thinks, and my brain thinks this could go either way.
X-Men - No.
Moon Knight Season Two - This is defineitly possible, but I'm gonna also go with a maybe on this one. It's not like season one left us on a big cliffhanger so it wouldn't be weird to put this after the two Avengers movies.
Young Avengers - Defineitly not. They are without a doubt leading up to the Young Avengers, but there is no way they're gonna have THREE Avengers movies in one phase.
Midnight Sons - I'm putting this in the same likelyness as the Young Avengers for the same reason.
RANKING LEAST LIKELY TO MOST LIKELY
13. X-Men
12. Captain Carter
11. Young Avengers
11. Midnight Sons
9. World War Hulk
8. Hercules
7. Okoye/Midnight Angels
6. The Ten Rings
5. Moon Knight Season Two
4, 3, 2, All the Sequels I mentioned
1. Special Presentation: Silver Surfer (If prequel to F4)
according to you it is possible that stark knowing the eternals creates an armor similar to the sentinel only suitable with the eternals for combat, able to perceive cosmic energy and the eternal gene, the armor should be similar to the sentinel able to adapt and formulate various countermeasures
does not necessarily have to be stark to make the armor also some scientist or company, do you think it is possible?
I would've said bad, but bad is an opinion and low rated is a fact.
Eternals honestly, so much of the plot didn't make sense, they ruined Ikaris who is one of the best Eternals, and if you ask any marvel comic fan who their favorite Eternal is, it will always be Ikaris. The only good character here is Angelina Jolie, by far the most experienced actress, sucks they gave her a bad script as Thena.
For those wondering why I didn't include Thor: The Dark World, you answered your own question, everyone hates that movie, and I don't want to be spammed with The Dark World is a cringe movie, we all know that.
Just a thought that came across my mind. I feel like it would be the kind of thing that would be outside of time (like the TVA).
Another thought: In Moon Knight, does the Duat take place outside of time?
