As many know, Chadwick Boseman passed away on August 28, 2020 in his Los Angeles home after a long battle with colon cancer. He filmed many of the movies everyone has come to love during his fight, including his iconic role, debuting as King T'challa in Captain America: Civil War, then later in the beloved blockbuster film, Black Panther. While he may have left this world, his legend and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and fans. This man broke the mold and proved to the world that anyone can be a hero, no matter what.
You don't need a magical hammer, a shield of Vibranium, a high-tech suit of iron, or superhuman strength to be someone's hero. That is why we are creating an initiative for all who wish to help out. In a way to honor Chadwick Boseman's life, we will learn from what he has showed us and we will become heroes.
If you are interested in joining the initiative, there are several ways that you can contribute.
Volunteer: Go out into your community. You can donate items and necessities to your local Salvation Army (or other organization). If you don't have any physical items to give, you can donate your time at a food bank, soup kitchen, Red Cross, Church, etc.
Whatever you do, take to any social media platform and post with #heroesofwakanda to show your support of the cause, and to help get others involved.
Donate funds: If you have the money to spare, you can go to the #heroesofwakanda GoFundMe Charity and donate money. All proceeds go to the Cancer Research Institute.
