Black Widow (film)

It'll have been four years now since Black Widow premiered by May, and despite director Cate Shortland noting the possibility of such a sequel, nothing's been said lately. At this point, I for one am considering hanging up hope for a Black Widow 2, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the idea first.

Notably Valentina appears jn black widow then her next film appearance was in Wakanda forever so that oddly comes full circle in terms of film, so this will make @IronWidowMaikuB happy lol

Then Black Widow will be in the Battle of Earth along with the A-Force team up, the Avengers and Hawkeye family will be really devastated, and they might make Black Widow 2 after Avengers Endgame, along with Thunderbolts film.

Would it be characters, story, focus?

If I could I would:

-Kept Kangs as the main antagonists of The Multiverse Saga and recast them

-Make Ajak the antagonist of Eternals instead of Ikaris

-Kept Wanda as a hero and wouldn't make her the antagonist of Doctor Strange 2

-Give What If more seasons

-Not make Secret Invasion, or at least wouldn't give Gi'ah all those powers

-Give Sif bigger role in Thor 4 and make her part of Thor's team

-Give Taskmaster some personality

-Left Killmonger alive

I mean we have plenty of serious moments, dialogues, characters not to mention heartbreaking ones, but people act like it's just jokes with them and no stakes. It's annoying.

I feel like The Multiverse should've been mentioned in Eternals to connect with the Phase 4 and Multiverse Saga same with Shang-Chi and Black Widow.

Dedicated to @IronWidowMaikuB I’ll be more optimistic with this post and you’ll be happy since Black Widow is not just your favorite film in this saga but in the MCU overall.

I saw how the logo of this film shares the same font as the avengers logo along with the asterisk it has currently and will retroactively make sense why start this saga with black widow in terms of film and in their original schedule. It also makes sense why this film ends phase 5 as it seems to be the equivalent of civil war in terms of potentially kickstarting a consistent feeling of home runs if it’s great and why it needs to be.

There are a total of 32 installments and 13 involve important elements to the 2 Multiversal avengers films and 6 that build up to the thunderbolts which only leaves 13. If this pays off then it can retroactively make the public care about this universe still to the point of feeling they could be at Stakes when they face incursions. Also note of worth is how marketing of Deadpool 3 showed an image of an avengers logo being defaced with the anarchy logo which many speculate hints what the asterisks is for the thunderbolts.

The 6 installments that contribute and build up to this film are Falcon and winter soldier, black widow, Wakanda forever which features Valentina, there’s also hawkeye for yelena and brave new world which seems to simulate the winter soldier and then also potentially Eternals based on rumors about how a major set piece will be on that celestial popping out of the earth.

P.S. I believe the spiritual successor of the Steve rogers cap trilogy in this multiverse saga is falcon and winter soldier, brave new world and thunderbolts. With falcon and winter soldier being the first avenger equivalent, brave new world being the winter soldier equivalent based on its teaser poster, and thunderbolts being the civil war equivalent based on potentially being a sort of avengers 4.5.

In conclusion, this could redeem the multiverse saga for good and is why I believe this is the most important installment for this saga in the long run :)

Why did Thaddeus Ross still want the members of the Avengers to be locked away in the Raft? He knew about Helmut Zemo's/Baron Zemo's actions and Thanos actions, so why did he still want the Avengers to be locked away? I never understood that. He should have let the Avengers go because it was Helmut Zemo the one who caused the explosion at the Sokovia Accords signing, not Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. The former framed the latter. Even though it was Zemo's fault for breaking up the Avengers, Ross was (kind of/sort of) also responsible for the Avengers spliting up because of the Accords. Also why did he attend Tony Stark's funeral and not arrest the Avengers while being there. I mean Ross was there for a reason, he grieved for Tony Stark alongside the others who were there. The Sokovia Accords were still a thing around this time as they weren't repealed until She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's release. Let me know down below.

Also was Thaddeus Ross a victim of the Snap or not because I have no idea if he was snapped or not? I also did not know Donald Trump supoorted the Sokovia Accords.

OK. Someone please explain to me why task master was bad like people are saying that she was a bad villian and I know that it has something to do with the comics i guess but i still don't understand.

I haven’t watch everything yet so I’m not gonna put input in. But I’m curious about the rest of you alls thoughts

Think about it, Black Widow is going to be the main character of the film, Red Guardian and Taskmaster are both from the Black Widow film, and the rest of the team, Ghost, U.S. Agent, and the Winter Soldier seem to have been picked based on the dynamic they could have with Yelena. I wonder who the team will be fighting. I doubt it is the Leader as he is the villain of Captain America: New World Order and I don't think they would have the same villain back-to-back.

Which low rated movie has to go?

For me it'd be Black Widow, a movie that should've been better and released after the Winter Soldier. For some reason Florence Pugh was there, and instead of Tony Masters, a great anti-hero from the comics, they just had a Ukrainian supermodel play the role of Taskmaster. Plus Dreykov is the worst villain in the MCU, at least Malekith was somewhat cool even if he looked like burnt toast. Daniel Craig's wife is an actress I liked in other movies, but she is seriously not as interesting as Melina. I get that Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff needed to be American because she had been playing the role for many years, but the rest of the cast is either, Ukrainian, British or American, there are a few Russian background actresses, but at least if your going to make a movie about a Russian person, have some of the cast come from Russia.

I’m finally finished and caught up with Phase Four (I delayed finishing Hawkeye and Black Widow for a while, but today I finally finished watching both) lol

So after Ms Marvel finishes on Wednesday, I think I’ll do an official ranking of Phase Four so far, but this post is my first impression thoughts on Black Widow and Hawkeye, feel free to share your thoughts or disagree.

Black Widow was alright, it’s biggest flaw was that it didn’t feel like it needed to exist. And that’s likely due to the fact it came out after Endgame, in which she literally died and her character arc to that point felt finished. There are some cool moments but this movie would have been better had it been released after Civil War, as it doesn’t do really anything to expand on Nat’s character other than she has a reunited family, only one of which has had an impact on anything else, more on her later. Idk, it just feels pointless, and again, it’s not bad, just alright.

Hawkeye was decently good. Tbh at first it was kinda a chore to get through, so after watching three episodes I decided to stop watching it. But then earlier after finishing Black Widow, I decided to finish Hawkeye as well, and I’m glad I did because I would have probably been kinda confused by these episodes if I didn’t finish Black Widow, and I feel like this show continuing off of Black Widow was one of it’s biggest downfalls. It all ends up working in the end, and I like the ending, but my first impression is that this show is confused on what it wants to be, and the middle is sort of boring. However, there are plenty of highlights, and honestly this is one of the better MCU series so far, it’s kinda disappointing that a lot of people have skipped out on it, it’s pretty enjoyable once you give it a chance (not anything incredible though)

I would've said bad, but bad is an opinion and low rated is a fact.

Eternals honestly, so much of the plot didn't make sense, they ruined Ikaris who is one of the best Eternals, and if you ask any marvel comic fan who their favorite Eternal is, it will always be Ikaris. The only good character here is Angelina Jolie, by far the most experienced actress, sucks they gave her a bad script as Thena.

For those wondering why I didn't include Thor: The Dark World, you answered your own question, everyone hates that movie, and I don't want to be spammed with The Dark World is a cringe movie, we all know that.
