Avengers Tower

With The Fantastic Four: First Steps being set on a version of Earth in the 1960s as part of the multiverse, it kind of makes one wonder what they could've been like if they were set on Earth-199999 instead. After Stark sold Avengers Tower, and before it was confirmed to be the Watchtower, there were rumors that it could've been the Baxter Building. As such, a user by the account name of RE7LECT put this together on DeviantArt as a concept if that was the case.

If you ask me, this would've been pretty darn neat if so. But since it isn't, I know we'll definitely find ways to make do with how it's being put into motion. But just imagine how cool a transition it would've been if Avengers Tower was converted into the Baxter Building!

Do you guys think Valentina Allegra de Fontaine might’ve bought Avengers Tower? If not, who do you think did, or who would you've liked to see buy it?

It’s been so long now since the tower was bought and reconstructed, I think some people are forgetting what it’s suppose to look like.

Some people are even starting to confuse the building for this one.

Or even this one.

I find it hard to believe that such an emblematic tower is not visible to the naked eye regardless of the angle.

I understand that the out of universe explanation is due to the extra cost that it would be to put it with CGI.

So unless the tower has wheels and it moves from place to place, my Headcanon explanation is that since the Avengers Tower is a place where you can find objects that if they fall into the wrong hands can be very dangerous (like the magnetic belt of Thor) and being the city of New York with quite a criminal index it is obvious that Tony Stark would put his hands on the matter and equip the Tower with invisibility panels (like the ones used by Shield's helicarriers) to mislead any threat that marks the tower as a place of interest to steal. This protocol would be activated when the city is in a constant war between criminal mafias.
