As a DA Moderator, I support @SilverQuake616 application to become a Discussion Administrator. She has been great to work and collaborate with and would be great in this new role. When the idea of a dedicated Discussions Area (DA) administrator was first suggested during the last pathway application, I was unconvinced. However, two months later, SilverQuake616’s application provides the justification that was previously missing.

Her application already speaks for itself through her track record so I won't rehash that here. However, the most compelling reason she offers is one rooted in efficiency and autonomy for the DA. The truth is, the Discussions Area has long needed stronger oversight, and as it currently stands, the DA team depends on wiki admins to carry out blocks. It's inefficient (and, frankly, impractical) and feels overdue for a change, but promoting Silver would address this issue. She and the DA team are already doing the work, and this promotion formalizes what is already true in practice, giving them the authority to match their responsibilities and ensuring a reliable team lead.

To verify her activity, I requested to view her DA stats via the MCUW analytics dashboard. Based on the data shared with me, Silver consistently ranks at or near the top of the DA team in both short-term and long-term activity and contributions. The numbers don’t lie.

All things considered, promoting Silver to DA admin is not only the logical choice, but she is also the clear frontrunner. Is this a stepping stone to broader wiki responsibilities in the future? We'll see. However, for now, I believe Silver is the most qualified candidate for the DA admin position, and I hope she serves in it well if promoted. Support.

I support SilverQuake616 as Discussions Administrator. As someone who supported her first promotion and briefly worked alongside her as fellow DA Moderator, I can at least vouch for her soft skills. In my experience, she has shown immense grace, kindness, and patience in addressing user conflicts in the DA — especially when others have grown particularly frustrated with bothersome behaviors. At the same time, she is no pushover and will speak firmly to preserve the integrity of the DA space. Those traits will be necessary for anyone who holds greater autonomy and oversight over this section.

Her application and track record show that she still holds those qualities today, alongside a portfolio of concrete accomplishments mentioned by others above.
