They put RDJ as Doom to be sure that Doomsday will be a good movie. I mean, all Iron Man fans are excited for Doom because of RDJ.

@Paperinick Sorry, but that argument makes no sense. The presence of RDJ does not automatically guarantee that a movie will be good, just like another actor playing Doom would not automatically guarantee that the movie would be bad.

Sure, but if you check videos, reels etc. you will see that the people believe that Doom is the best villain before even his character appear in screen. If the Russo brothers wanted to get people excited before even a teaser trailer for Doomsday or something came out, I can say they succeeded

This is more not getting why they cast him in the first place. Not only as a major draw for a personal villain against our MCU heroes with the face of their fallen icon, but also due to RDJ having nearly played Doom for the 2005 Fantastic Four. Therefore being a legacy casting of a project that didn't make it like Channing Tatum getting his moment to get to play Gambit.

And also because it is a multiversal Avengers threat version, the official MCU Earth version post-Secret Wars can still exist and obviously would be a different actor due to the person with RDJ's face on the MCU Earth being Iron Man. So yes, they could just cast Cillian Murphy after at some later point.

I think they should’ve just kept Kang around. It’s very easy to recast him. But instead they dropped him out and instead Doom is supposed to come out of nowhere and is suddenly the big bad now I guess.

Why is it hard so hard for people to understand with Doom and Kang specifically that other actors can played them later on post Secret Wars lol?

With Doom, they can just say that RDJ's Doom is a Doombot or a Vairant or something else and just hired a new actor to played the 616/19999 Doom post Secret Wars and they can in a way get their Tom's Spider-Man vs RDJ's Tony fight as well without bringing in a Iron man that let's be honest no ones cares bout in Superior Iron Man.

Indeed. Same with Kang as a villain greater than Doom and kept on the back burner for Kang Dynasty later. Especially when still building up to the Young Avengers which he is pivotal to.
