Basically The Guardians of the Galaxy was created mainly to show Thanos and one of the infinity stones.

^ Not sure what gave you that idea, but that's definitely not true.

@Paperinick Thanos did like nothing throughout this entire film, he somehow did more in The Avengers and Age of Ultron then he did in GOTG1 when he just spent all of that film sitting in his Chair like one of us does when we are on the Computer at home lol.

Dude was the worst part of that whole film and that somehow include Freaking Ronan in it as well.

I mean the movie showed Thanos and also Ronan, Gamora and Nebula referring to Thanos. It was n another opportunity to show us the history of an infinity stone like Age of Ultron and Doctor Strange.
