The show seems promising so far. Its reinvention of Spidey's origin in the M.C.U. by having him being mentored by Norman Osborn instead of by Stark is definitely a surprising twist! And the animation style is pretty darn cool, too.

So, out of curiosity, what should be the Nexus Event that caused this universe to branch out ? Is it the Duel at Midtown with DS and the Symbiote? Because, without it, Peter doesn't befriend Nico, doesn't have to go to Rockford H.S., doesn't get spotted by Osborn and doesn't get mentored by him.

Or is it just the fact that Osborn exist in this universe? Or that Nico moved from LA to NYC?

It's Osborns existing at all as they don't existed in the main timeline . That changed everything for pretty much the entire timeline.
