@GarrettPlayzRBLX Think of it as more like what like what he did in Season 1 of What If prior to him getting involved, he just watched and look sad at the events that is going on.

He was the sign that something bad was going to happen to Genosha. He wasn't there for a long time but it was the What IF Version and not the X-Men 92 version.
