Hello editors! We are bringing back Editing Events to the wiki. In the days of old, this wiki held occasional Weekly Editing Events, although they were eventually terminated. I've decided to bring back this initiative, although retooled as Monthly Editing Events.
The editing event for this month is the Stubtember Editing Event. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help the wiki clear out some of its stubs, or the "To be added" sections/Expand tag sections. In return, an award is posted on your User page.
The event will run from 12:00 am (UTC time) of September 1, 2024 to 11:59 pm (UTC time) of September 30, 2024.
Users who participate in this event will need to destub ten (10) stub pages *OR* expand twenty (20) sections that are blank or incomplete. Stub pages have a green Stub template on top, while the blank/incomplete sections (on otherwise non Stub pages) will have the "Expand" tag on it, with a "To be added" most likely written. Click the "Article stubs" category or the "Articles to be expanded" category to locate the pages in question.
Your tasks:
*Destub 10 of the article stubs, or
*Fill out 20 of the articles to be expanded
Note: The edits you perform need to adhere to the policies of this wiki, most importantly the Manual of Style. Edits that are undone or reverted by Staff members will not be counted towards your total. Once you have made the 10 edits, either post the links to them in the comments section of this Discussions post or on my (MJLogan95's) Message Wall. Alternatively, if you are on the official MCU Wiki Discord server, you may DM the ten links to your contributions to MJLogan95, where they will then be reviewed. Should your edits be approved, an Award will be posted to your User page!
This month's award is a Wolverine themed award that will be pasted on your User page with the text: [Insert username] has been awarded the Stubtember Editing Award for participating in the September 2024 Editing Event! Congratulations on a job well done!
If this Editing Event is received well by the community, we will continue the initiative for the rest of the year. If not... well, I'm sure some of you will participate, which will result in at least some pages being destubbed, so it was still worth it in the end! I look forward to seeing some of you out there.
