Honesty, she was screwed from day one when they release her film during the time when the Captain Marvel's Character wasn't the most popular cause of Civil War II. People no matter it is fair of not, had this ideal that Carol was basically the worse thing to happen to the Marvel universe and didn't want that happen to the MCU.

It's honesty why I'm so against at Civil War 2 to happen in the MCU, it's like trust me if you are a fan of Carol Danvers you don't want that to happen in the MCU at all lol. 616 comic Carol is just starting to dragged her self out of that hate from her experiences with Civil War 2.

@IronWidowMaikuB I'm not an avid comic book reader, but if memory serves, Civil War II was her vs. Iron Man about using Ulysses Cain's predictions, correct?

Yep, It's one of the worst storylines to ever come out of Marvel and is Carol's Worst Storyline ever. It's made not only Carol Danvers into a straight up Villain but also Tony Stark into a Villain as well. Unlike in OG Civil War when the only side to logically choose was Steve or the MCU Civil War when you could have choose a side, Civil War 2 force you to root against both teams, it's a Story that is simply can't be save or fix by Marvel Studios.

The Worst thing is though, you need Civil War 2 in order to Secret Empire which means that we possibly would never have Hydra Cap in the MCU.

@IronWidowMaikuB Dang, I don't know much about the Secret Empire set-up but just maybe there's a way to circumvent that and set it up a different way?

There is no way lol, One of the reason why Hydra Cap was able to take over America so fast was that Tony died in Civil War II. There also the fact that one of the main characters that beaten Hydra Miles was set up in Civil War 2. Plus, Carol Danvers is in space cause of her actions in Civil War 2. Pretty much all of the major characters arcs except for OGComic Nat and Maybe Sam are set up in Civil War 2. Pretty much everything that Hydra Cap did goes back to that blasted Comic Event.

People unfortunately have a tendency to hold grudges. It's disgusting.
