Because now it feels like all that build up was for nothing.

I dug deep into the Kang history after Antman 3 so yeah, kinda wanted to see where it was going. But a recast would be weird as I'm used to Majors face already. It is what it is
@Mangobinks How is it embarrassing that RDJ is back?! For me, I'm so fricking happy and excited that he's back 😃! And I think he'll do well as Doctor Doom, because for one, he played the villain Lewis in Oppenheimer and he did very good at it. And two, with the Russo Brothers returning to direct the next two Avengers movies, I'm sure that Doctor Doom would be treated really good. Perhaps maybe he'll be treated the way Thanos was in Avengers Infinity War.
Unless it is mentioned in an upcoming movie or show, the Council of Kang is always out there. They could be brought back with Majors or a new actor later, like Marvel Studios did with the Leader, who had been absent for a very long time.
I think this means they don’t want to focus on Kang and all the possible controversy with the previous actor or a possible recasting.
They should have just cast Stanfield as Kang
@Thom7 Who's Stanfield?
Lakeith Stanfield, underrated actor who i kept seeing mentioned as a kang replacement
@OfficerOCU27 Maybe because I want Dr Doom to be respected as a separate character and have someone new play him instead of bringing back RDJ for cheap fan service
I mean the good news is at least RDJ will be portraying Victor von Doom rather than an alternate Tony Stark. Proof? The Russo Brothers explicitly refer to him as such
I think they’ll still play a big role going forward, perhaps even teaming up with Doom
I really wanted to see Kang fight various variants of the Avengers...
What do you think?
