Thats what I'm saying. Miguel is wrong about canon events. Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-91233 is wrong about absolute points in time. Earth-91233 was destroyed by an incursion. Incursions are when two timelines/universes collide. And the sorcerer supreme split that timeline into two timelines, one where Doctor Strange went back in time to stop his canon event/absolute point in time and one where he didn't. (I dubbed the latter Earth-91234). And those two timelines collided, destroying both. As for Miguel, although Earth-1042 was independent from the sacred timeline, HWR wanted to avoid evil variants of himself in the polymultiverse, so he destroyed Earth-1042 to trick Miguel into forming a TVA-esque organization to accomplish that purpose. Breaking Canon Events does not cause an incursion, colliding universes does that. This is why, in the MCU, it looks like black goo, and in ATSV it looks like glitching. They're two different phenomena. Also, the distinction between multiverse and polymultiverse explains why people don't glitch during multiversial travel in the MCU. Going to a universe independent from yours causes glitching. But you can go to a timeline that branches off from your own. @IamDPorDerpy Earth-870 is the sacred timeline. Earth-199999 is branch. Ever since at least when Kang met Janet in the Quantum realm, we've been following a branch. It just didn't radically change the timeline for a while, so endgame happens the same in both 870 and 199999. But we're now following a branch because all the multiverse stuff happening in the movies wouldn't have happened in the sacred timeline, because there wouldn't be a multiverse to interact with. So, for example, No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness wouldn't have been part of the sacred timeline.

If 199999/616 is supposed to be a Branch then what the point of the Avengers not keeping the stones in their Universe in Endgame. Remember that Kang doesn't supposed to exist in the "Sacred Timeline". If anything Earth-870 is the Branch timeline not 199999/616.

^^^You're completely ignoring how branch timelines work. They diverge from the sacred timeline. So their past is the sacred timeline, but the future isn't. In the closest way to chronological order I can present it:

1. Polymultiverse exists, with the sacred timeline (Earth-870) isolated from everything else.

2. The Avengers time travel back to the Battle of New York in 2012 in order to obtain three out of the six Infinity Stones, creating Earth-732. Now, in the sacred timeline, the time heist-created universes would have been pruned by the TVA after the main Avengers left.

3. Loki's escape in Earth-732 wasn't supposed to happen, but it didn't cause Earth-870 to branch, just Earth-732. Blah blah blah usual TVA protocol. The events of Loki happen in an instant. Sort of.

4. So now all of live action Marvel content exists.

5. Now the council of Kangs exiles Kang the conquerer to the Quantum realm, where he encounters Janet Van Dyne. This (as far as I know, they might reveal that the branch begins chronologically earlier) is where Earth-870 branches into Earth-199999. But up to a point, they are virtually identical, due to the isolation of the quantum realm. So, IronWidowMaikuB, you are half right. At the time of endgame, Earth-870 and Earth-199999 are basically the same, so returning the Infinity Stones does matter.

6. However, in the recent films, we have seen things that couldn't have happened in the sacred timeline, such as the events of No Way Home.

And THAT'S how I came to the conclusion that post-Endgame MCU is a branch timeline.

Note: The branch started somewhere between 1987 and 2018, but, due to Janet keeping Kang a secret, 199999 doesn't significantly diverge from 870 until Spider-Man: No Way Home.

If you’re merely saying that the post-Endgame MCU is a branch, I’m inclined to agree. Everything else (creation of branched timelines as a result of Endgame traveling, Spiderverse, and designating the Sacred Timeline as Earth 870) I’m a bit more iffy about (I’m adopting a wait and see approach).

Alright, so, I'll admit it's confusing, but as simple as I can explain when the branch starts is this:

The Janet in Ant Man 2 and Ant Man 3 both are and aren't the same. In the sacred timeline, Janet would have never met Kang, but the events of Endgame would have been the same. Then the Avengers time-travel, accidentally creating the new Loki, and the branch timelines appear. Kang the Conquerer is exiled, and meets Janet, causing a branch. But it doesn't change anything at first.

Earth-870 is identical to Earth-199999, until the multiverse comes into play.

Reality-TRN870 is the actual designation.

I don't believe any reality is designated "870".

TRN means Temporary Reality Number. So it might change to something permanent in the future, or it might never change. TRNs are uses by this wiki as a placeholder until something official comes out, and the officials don't look to this wiki to come up with their stuff. So I highly doubt the permanent designation will be 870.
