I think they could made the film longer by doing more with the ending and final battle.

Also, Skrulls getting relocated (again) and more of them dying from not getting off the planet in time, sort of just got glazed over. Kamala showed some empathy for them, but it still could have made more sad. Again the movie was more silly, so sadder and more tragic parts didn’t get much focus. I still think they could have done both.

Ok i need to get this out — there is no way that The Marvels takes place after Secret Invasion. This doesn’t make sense Ms. Marvel is supposed to take place in fall 2025, and it does not make sense for The Marvels to jump a year forward. No sense at all.

The whole narrative looks better if The Marvels takes place a month or two after Ms. Marvel, maybe November 2025, and Secret Invasion takes place a year later when Nick Fury comes back to Earth.

This is the only possible exploration for the fact that Talos/Soren/Gi’ah’s deaths or power upgrades haven’t been mentioned.

@CaptainAmerica287 Tony Stark was supposedly "Retire" from being Iron Man in Iron Man 3 but in Age of Ultron he has more suits then ever before. Again, there were bigger things to worry about in The Marvels then the Skrulls.

Yes but that was always in his plan ever since the Battle of NY. In Iron Man 3, He wanted to be completely done with the superhero life and didn't even wanted to make Ultron anymore. That's why he blow up all of his suits at the end of Iron Man 3. We were never told after Iron Man 3 to Age Of Ultron why Tony is suddenly back in the Suit making business just we won't told about the Skrulls in The Marvels. Again, Marvel does this stuff all the time in their films and always done this ever since Phase 2.

I think that’s the least of the issues the marvels has the only positive is that Iman Vellani finally is getting credit as she deserves honestly

@CaptainAmerica287 The end of Secret Invasion said that there were plans for peace talks, which is what meeting on the Skrull colony was about (at least in the minds of the Skrulls and SABER).

@IronWidowMaikuB It is revealed in Captain America: Civil War that he dons the suit again because of the HYDRA uprising and the fall of SHIELD.

Hi! I watched The Marvels and here is what I think:

*holds breath* This movie was REALLY good! I loved it and enjoyed it a lot (ok, so relax)!! When going into this movie I wasn't expecting much, I was a little scared since there was lots of hate online but The Marvels shined and quickly disproved those reviews to me. This movie was really fun, perfect no, but fun and good, yes. It was really entertaining and gave me lots of joy.

Ok let's start with Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. I enjoyed Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. She felt more real with more emotion compared to the last movie. Next, Iman Vellani was AMAZING and stole the spotlight. Her enthusiasm and portrayal of Kamala made me get so much dopamine and serotonin (I LOVE HER). Now Teyonah Parris, I thought she was great. She was just awesome.

Now Ima just say this Samuel L. Jackson was GREAT and I love him. Also Kamala's fam were so much fun to watch.

Also the credit scene, IT'S THE X-MEN OMIGOD YOU GUYS!!!! Also Carol and Kamala are so cute. And YOUNG AVENGERS BABY!!!! Seeing Kate Bishop made me so happy. Also the baby flurkens eating the workers while Memory from Cats made my theater kid heart so happy and also made me laugh so much. The whole dynamic was so much.

TL;DR

The movie is REALLY good and fun and I liked it.
