Should Zack Snyder make Marvel movies?

Unlike with DC, I don't think it'd be a good choice to let him run Marvel. However, he could still make some movies, for certain characters

• Thor 5: If we are getting this, I think Snyder should direct it. The character was made a joke, however, similarly to Superman, where Snyder focused more on his Kryptonian side, the same thing could be done with Thor, focusing on his godly side and aspects

• Hulk film: Snyder claimed his favorite Marvel character is Hulk and a WW Hulk film is rumored to be in development. Snyder would actually treat the Hulk with respect and not make him a joke. And he can pull off the rage empowerment as well.

• Ghost Rider: After watching some of his projects, I think he can pull off this film as well. I'm not sure about this one though.

• Silver Surfer: I mean, this is very obvious. For Silver Surfer, Zack Snyder would be my first choice. He can pull off the loneliest character in the universe, it's kinda his range.

So, should he make Marvel films?

No, for three reasons:

1) Zack Snyder is good at a direct adaption. His Watchmen and 300 are good because they are word-for-word copies of the comics they're based on. He struggles to create a coherant narrative if he's just adapting an IP as a whole. Marvel Studios doesn't do that, so Snyder is immediately not going to fit into that role.

2) We've also seen that Snyder doesn't work well when he feels like he's been told how to make his movies from someone in a higher position, and that wouldn't work with how Marvel Studios runs their films.

3) Finally, Snyder doesn't like superhero narratives. That's the reason he did Watchmen, because it's a deconstructionist take on superheroes. He famously said during the press tour for that film that be hates normal superhero films and comics, specifying (ironically) Superman. So bringing him on to do a Marvel film will cause the same issues as his DC work, because he won't be there for character progression or faithfulness to the stories, he'll be there to see how far he can push the narrative away from a superhero film and into his own parody of the genre, and that will upset far more of the audience than it'll entertain.

Just No, He's a Massive Control Freak and that wouldn't work with Feige at all. Synder's Thor wouldn't work at all cause he would again focus on his God Side over what I feel is the most important side and that's his renaming relationships like Sif or even Darcy.

@TheD00dlebug He's not even good at making direct adaptations either. We're talking about a guy who didn't get Watchmen and just like the DCEU, made his own version of that story from a sympathy angle on utter monsters. Only difference is that one was praised for going off script and the DCEU had far more notice for Zack's corrections of going off the rails.
