But if there's a year gap, there really should have been a "One Year Later" caption telling us that so that we'd know that it's not taking place the next morning.

I am pretty sure the Ms. Marvel PCS doesn't imply anything about the scope of the time jump. Surely it would appear that it is soon after the main events of the series, but there isn't anything that negates a time jump of over a year. Kamala Khan would be doing her own thing, going to school and using her powers as a vigilante throughout that time span. The Marvels can perfectly contextualize this and mention that Kamala Khan has been Ms. Marvel for a year by now (which is also consistent with the time span between the release of the show and the film).

That's why I would say The Marvels takes place before Secret Invasion.

Yes, there's probably a year+ jump before the credits scene, which is a clip from The Marvels.

There were months-long jumps in The First Avenger, Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange before their credits scenes, also clips from upcoming films. It's not that weird. There's no obvious problem with it.

A week had passed in the last episode, so I would imagine the post credit took place the next morning or a few days after.

There is no reason to think it's the next day and not potentially even a year later.

The evidence is the fact Secret Invasion should be set over a year after Ms. Marvel, and The Marvels should be set after Secret Invasion.
