So, tiny details...apparently, we just got our first Super Skrull in this episode, though it's the Mangaverse Super Skrull for some reason.

And I'm really curious as to why they'd kill Maria Hill, unless it was to mess with Fury, by replacing her. With the Skrulls knowing that Fury is aware that they return to their natural form when dead, I could see the evil Skrulls using some form of technology to stop them from happening.

Also, I do believe that Gravik in a confrontation might do a mention or two of events like Far From Home or Falcon and Winter Soldier to justify their invasion, saying something like "humanity can't even get their things together".

I wonder if fury is gonna die at the end of this show. Plus I would be surprised if the events of FFH weren’t mentioned since that’s where we first saw the real Fury again.

^I don't think Fury will die as he was in the trailer for the Marvels. However, it's yet to be seen if the Marvels is set before Secret Invasion.

Enjoyable first episode, I’m definitely intrigued.

I was never too “connected” to Hill anyway, so her death doesn’t really effect me. If anything it just opens the door for Daisy to come in as Fury’s second-in-command.

Gravik’s plan doesn’t really make sense to me though. He’s angry because they don’t have a “permanent” home, understandable. But what’s wrong with living in Chernobyl like they’re clearly already doing? We don’t know the exact number of Skrulls but I’m certain they could find places to live on Earth by cohabitating with Humans.

@ThatGuyNamedJoe in the trailer I think he’s in space, still on saber. And if Ms. Marvel takes place in fall 2025 and this takes place a year later then it would make sense for the marvels to fall between this gap

What was up with that fight at the beginning? The fake Ross shot agent Prescod. But it’s like the prop handlers forgot to put a gun in Martin Freeman’s hand.

I'm shocked Ross was a Skrull and Maria Hill's death was just... oh my god bro I'm shocked tbh.

The more I think about it, the more it gives me pause thinking that Val is a Skrull (and she’s the one who helped them kidnap Ross to be impersonated?)

Also, wild theory, imagine if Gravik is Fury + a Skrull woman’s child.

Holy crap I didn't even make the connection that AoS was included amongst the "Featuring Nick Fury" category. That is super cool. It would also lend more credence to Quake showing up later. FINGERS CROSSED

Also, good first episode. I hope it keeps this level of quality at least. I'm not a fan of Hill dying. I've always liked that character and her death came so abruptly. Marvel also never utilized her to her full potential so I hope she somehow returns (no idea how).

Talos and Giah's relationship is compelling, as well as the antagonists' motivation. The politics and complex character dynamics could really elevate this show and give us something truly exceptional on Disney+. I hope I don't eat those words like so many times before LMAO.

Lastly, BRING US DAISY JOHNSON.

This episode was amazing, and Maria’s death hit me hard. She was killed by someone she thought was her friend, and then her body was just left in the square like that, alone. For all we know, she could’ve died thinking Fury had betrayed her. I hardly noticed Maria in the other movies so she wasn’t my favorite character or anything, but it was still sad to see her die so suddenly and tragically.

The only complaint I have about this episode is that the G’iah redemptive thing happened a little too quick. I would have liked to see her involved in the Skrull rebellion more and learn her motives and stuff before she came to her senses and got a redemption. I also wish that the episode explained more why she changed sides and decided to help her father and Fury so suddenly. Was it because she learned about the death of her mother, or because she saw her father again and his words convinced her, or was it because of something else? Though then again, since we never actually saw her motivations and why she joined, there’s no good way to explain why she turned against them.
