Given how very well-done Josh Brolin's combined voice acting and performance capture portrayal of Thanos was, I for one would love to see how well the next level of such a portrayal, albeit for Galactus, would be.
If anything, though, we definitely need something more like what's seen in this image (taken from the last scene in the last cutscene of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, b.t.w.). We don't need another cosmic hurricane-like entity like the one we saw in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer back in '07.
As cool as that may have looked back then, it was like they took a page out of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979), and that's too cerebral for a Marvel film. Nothing wrong with that, just thinking in terms of what seems to appeal to the better part of the audiences, and to rectify certain errors from past releases.
And to add to that, while his true appearance, particularly his helmet, was hinted at in this scene in the '07 film, not many could tell that it was really him.
