Carol Danvers has longevity (like Loki and Thor). She still ages but at a very slow rate.
I wonder how they explain why hes there if hes in secert invasion and i know that agents of shields hes dead so i dont know how that will make sense? wait forget in tv not everyone stays dead forever!
He wasn’t dead in AoS. In The Winter Soldier, he faked his death. Fury was never killed off.
Nick wasn't on Earth in FFH. He only returns by Secret Invasion years later which then leads to the events of The Marvels.
Marvel needs to announce when Secret Invasion takes place relative to The Marvels. This not caring about your timeline stuff is only destroying their storytelling.
@ Cameron Elturk
Here's a rundown of the timeline so far according to this website:
October 29 2023 - Fury goes to Tony's funeral in Avengers: Endgame
November 10 2023 - Monica is told by a Skrull lady that an "old friend" of her mother's wants to speak with her...in space (at the end of WandaVision)
July 4 2024 - Fury is on the spaceship with Skrulls in Spider-Man: Far From Home
June 23 2025 - Kamala switches places with Carol at the end of Ms. Marvel
(If The Marvels truly does take place right after, then it would be June 2025 as well)
Apparently, Secret Invasion has scenes in Russia where there are signs for "Unity Day" which is apparently in October. If it's October 2025, then Secret Invasion would have to be after The Marvels. If it's October 2024, then it's before (although Oct 2024 would be a little weird since Spider-Man: No Way Home is happening during that time - so you'd think people would hear about all the crazy thriller stuff and alien attacks on the President on the news)
They don't need to announce anything. Neither project is out yet, be patient. Also, Kamala switches places with Carol in the post credit scene, which takes place an undetermined amount of time after the main events of the show.
Yeah, the assumption with this timeline is that every scene takes place at the exact time. Which the only one you can definitively make that statement for is Monica's final scene in WandaVision since she's still mopping up Westview, but even then, Fury could just be calling her and isn't actually back yet. So that isn't exactly weird.
Oh im on season 1 of aos so thats why i said that @KingValeska
@TrueDogemaster Yeah I'm good with waiting, I just meant in general since they often don't.
And you're right about the post credit scene. That could end up being our saving grace.
https://ew.com/movies/kevin-feige-marvel-phase-5-exclusive-interview/
I found an interview where Feige was very vague about the whole thing. He said "[The Marvels is] picking up directly after the end of Captain Marvel 1, not in timeline but in story. We also do that in our upcoming Disney Plus series Secret Invasion, and those are two very different follow-ups to that movie."
So he described them as two alternative follow ups to CM but nothing about their relation to each other. But obviously we'll learn more when they come out (hopefully).
Fury better not be a Skrull, we haven’t seen him actually appear in an major role since Winter Soldier
What do you think?
