Just because it won't move the overarching story forward doesn't mean that it's skippable.

I'm ok with it being seperate from the multiverse storyline. I'm really looking foreward to it!

I think the OP meant that if you only care about the overarching multiverse saga storyline you can skip GOTG3 and wait till it arrives on Disney +

That's what I'm thinking about doing, I can wait 3-4 months to see it, at home and not spend $10 for a movie ticket.

Introduces the High Evolutionary so still plays probably a big role for the MCU overall. Even if not for Kang specifically.

Plus not even all the stuff in the multiverse saga does. Shang-Chi, Eternals, Werewolf by Night, and Moon Knight connect to completely different arcs from the Multiverse Saga. Same with others in the Infinity Saga such as Incredible Hulk.
