How long was fury gone

I saw the secret invasion trailer last night and it made me think how long do you think fury was gone for? If you really think about it avengers 1 captain marvel and winter soldier are the only movies where we REALLY feature fury. And in winter soldier his own death was faked in that movie. before that we know he was in contact with the skrulls secretly in the 90’s and was forming the avengers in the 2000’s. But after avengers 1 and winter soldier we only saw him in age of ultron where he really only had a small role. He was gone for most of phase 3 up until the snap and him calling captain marvel before he turned to dust. But then when we really saw him we only find out that at least for the events of far from home 8 months after endgame he and Maria hill were being impersonated (hired presumably) by talos and his wife. While fury is in some space station. How long do you think fury has been in space for as far as we know. Cause we haven’t really seen too much of shield post age of ultron (unless agents of shield ties into this) and fury’s bigger role in winter soldier and his “death” clearly comes back somehow based on the scene in the trailer where we see his grave. How long do you think fury has been a skrull and why do you think he’s been in space for however long he’s been?

I think the Vanity Fair article or some official source this past weekend said 4 years.

2 or 3 years. he left after Tony's Funeral. AOS and the Tie-in Comics straight up said that he working in the shadows for most of Phase 3 after Age of Ultron (and Yes that was Fury not Talos, Don't let the bread scene fool you lol).

Hope they confirm AOS in canon with this show like how the other Disney+ shows confirmed daredevil and the other Netflix shows despite people saying otherwise

They already did in FALWS And I'll think Wandavision. FALWS Cap's Smithsonian Institution's exhibition dedicated to Steve Rogers reveals that Rogers and his team used their ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. to operate around the globe while they were on the run. It can't be Fury because he was still Faking his death at the time and nobody knew he was alive and Maria's was with Fury's at the time so it had to be Coulson's Team. Nat is also very close with at the very least Melinda and maybe Coulson as well with Melinda being in her Contacts.

In The Avengers they didn't seem to imply that Romanoff and Coulson were particularly close, although they clearly knew each other,.

Read the Tie-Ins Comics but especially Marvel Avengers: Black Widow Strikes . They straight up said that Coulson and Nat were friends. Coulson is also one of the few people who can call her "Nat" other then Clint and Maybe Steve as well which she normally hates it when people calls her that.

It depends on when he really left

My best guess is that he left something during Infinity War and then Talos took over

Don't have an exact amount of years he was gone

I thought it was meant he's been gone as in offworld for 2-4 years since after the events of Endgame.

I want to believe that but since fury was absent for all of phase 3 up until his “death.” In infinity war it’s really hard to say.

Again, I'm begging you guys to read the Tie-In Comics lol, In the TIe-In Comics, Fury was working behind the scenes on Earth helping out Steve's team and Even Tony's for a bit during Most of Phase 3 until he was Dusted away (And yes that was him, Don't bring up the point that Maria call him "Nick", She was Dying at the moment, your prefer Names go out of the Window and Soren would be calling "Talos" Talos not Nick during that moment anyways.)
