Also glad that MODOK isnt just a robot
Unmasked MODOK is in the trailer. I am surprised that they didn’t erase it for the trailer.
Anyone But Hope, Scott, and Cassie can be killed off (it's the third MCU movie something bad is going to happen lol.) We kinda don't need Hank anymore so ideally he can go. Also, M.O.D.O.K looks so Good in this.
I prefer MODOK with the mask on though.
The teaser had me excited, this trailer just killed everything. Looks like a meh movie. I hope I am wrong. The montage of the trailer is terrible btw.
The effects on MODOK and Kang look off. The sets feel small and compressed. The dialogue, due to how the trailer is edited, sounds mediocre. It feels like an unengaging story. They told the entire film in the trailer. All the cinematography looks off putting.
The edition of the trailer kills it. The first one was interesting, setting up a new ground for the story while making you reconnect with Ant-Man. This one is an off putting and not impressive preview of the second-third act of the movie.
MODOK without his mask looks like Humpty Dumpty from Puss in Boots.
WF trailers actually felt great, like there was some effort to make a good trailer for a very spectacular movie.
This is a far better trailer than the first one, not gonna lie. It really tells you how relevant Kang is in this film. The first trailer seems to focus more on the quirky worldbuilding that didn't felt all that engaging. Here it focuses on the aspects that I care more about.
Ok, so basically Scott is tempted at getting that 5 years back despite Janet warning him Kang's the devil and this would be a big disaster for the timeline and eventually Scott goes back on the deal to steal whatever it the MacGuffin is and is willing to sacrifice his life to stop Kang from winning. But presuming this is the Kang that will be in Kang Dynasty, he does get out of the Quantum Realm somehow. I bet the MacGuffin is going be either the Time Scanner or the Light of the Centuries Sphere.
Surprised the trailer confirmed all those rumors about who M.O.D.O.K. is (or maybe a variant of).
I suppose Ms. Marvel hinted at it, but still surprised at how famous Ant-Man and Wasp became. But also what goes around comes around, nice little full circle moment for Scott and her daughter having an issue with the law.
Glad we're finally gonna see more of the civilization(s) in the Quantum Realm and what Janet was up during her time there.
So cool they included the 'blue face' of Kang from the comics.
Sure a serious tone for a 1st trailer for one of the more light-hearted franchises but it matches with the focus being on Scott and Kang. I suspect the next trailer will show more of the comedic elements of the movie - I mean, Bill Murray's gotta be in the next one...
Also in the new synopsis, David Dastmalchian is listed as "Veb." Wonder if it's a new character he's voicing or maybe a variant of Kurt. Also confirmed some earlier reports of William Jackson Harper playing a character named Quaz and Bill Murray playing Lord Krylar, and Katy O'Brian is playing Jentorra (a relatively new character more associated with the Hulk comics but still from the Microverse).
This was fantabulous.
What do you think?
