HALLWAY FIGHT!
Honestly, I enjoyed the She-Hulk take on it. Also, even though it was a lighter take on the character, it wasn’t that different from his lighter moments on his own show. The biggest difference being the “Walk of Shame” in his costume at the end. That seemed out of character.
So, I guess this means Matt Murdock is licensed in California.
Who or what, do you think got the Accords repealed?
@Danger1109 The snap definitely was the reason the Accords were repealed. When 50% of the Universes population disappeared, the avengers (including Cap and Black Widow) were allowed to do their work (seemingly without government intervention).
Hearing the Sokovia Accords were repealed actually made my day.
Weren't the Accords still active during WandaVision? Though I'm happy we don't have to worry about them.
Honestly I enjoyed everything about Daredevil this episode, even the walk of shame. It was a funny visual gag and it definitely doesn't ruin the character for me. She-Hulk's a sitcom, after all.
Man, that ending was dark. I was expecting Jen to turn to the audience and say something like "Oh crap" but I'm glad they didn't do that.
This was definitely the best episode yet! Charlie per usual is spectacular as Matt, and I can't wait to see more of him. This episode transitioned him perfectly from Netflix. He retained some level of seriousness but was able to have fun and joke around with Jen. Also, the numerous references to the Netflix show should settle the canon debate:
Netflix Daredevil Theme
New Suit almost exactly like old one
His "Daredevil" name is preestablished and he seems to have accepted the title, referencing his character development in S3
Says he's broken into warehouses "a million times", implying he's been Daredevil for a long time (if he survived the Blip would be 9-10 years and if not 4-5)
References his Hell's Kitchen law firm and how they (emphasis on "they") usually take smaller cases but take big clients when bills pile up
His dynamic with Jen was also great and I hope we see more of it in the future. This episode definitely calmed my nerves about Marvel Studios taking on the Netflix characters.
I just can't right this as a normal paragraph, so bullet points it is:
Frog-Man vs Daredevil! I wasn't expecting that, but then again, this show is full of surprises
Love how Matt just jokes that "he's a big fan of courtroom dramas" to avoid Leap-Frog discovering his identity. In general, Matt just feels like he's grown as a person, and as a superhero. Even if the parking lot fight may throw people off, 1) remember the undead ninjas? and 2) we've had years between properties, he could've been trainning like hell, and learning new skills
Also, the little nods to the bigger universe, like Rogers the Musical and the Sokovia Accords
Appreciate they joke about both the hallway fight and the "Red Hulk". While I'm always up for a Netflix style sequence, She-Hulk is a comedy, and as such, it can poke fun at those things taking close to an hour. Similarly, the theory that Red Hulk is coming, based on the fact that it is a Hulk adjacent project just never really made sense to me
Best episode of the series thus far! I love Matt and Jen’s chemistry and I love how he helped her realize that she can make the best of both the lawyer and superhero worlds. I even loved Matt’s walk of shame, that had me weak 😂. Gotta admit I did not see that ending coming although I definitely had a feeling Jen’s big night wasn’t going to go as planned.
Certainly the best episode of the series and nice buildup to the finale.
All the scenes with Matt/Daredevil were perfect. Also enjoyed Leap Frog and the over the top puns. I do hope we see him again.
From Jen’s breaking the 4th Wall dialogue, it is evident that Marvel Studios is well aware of what our responses will be and what we are thinking about. They know what they are doing.
Looking forward to the finale.
I loved this episode, it's at #2 with only episode 4 above it! Daredevil was amazing, but I think those haters are gonna say they f*cked up the character. Speaking about f*cking (I know this is really bad), I feel like the amount of sex in this episode was a little bit too much, as even going as far as calling her a slet, showing footage of her doing 'it' with that boyfriend from the previous episode, even though it's briefly it's active and can be seen pretty easy. We even saw the feet of Matt and Jen, implicating they're naked.
What do you think?
