It was going to happened one way or another Because Wanda isn't a character that would be immune to the Darkhold like Nico or a Pure of Heart Character is. If anyone would be Corrupted by it it would have been Wanda.

@Swatteam123 If Wanda survived, when she next appears, she’ll have to face the consequences of her actions. She needs to serve a penance of some sort. And destroying every Darkhold isn’t good enough.
