Yes, Because she was corrupted by the Darkhold and the Darkhold twisted what she wanted and I would keep on repeatedly said this, She was Corrupted by the Darkhold way before she even start reading it at her Hideaway Home. Also, Westview wasn't her fault at all, it was Hayward and to a lesser stint Agatha as well..
^ except for the part where Wanda knew what she was doing in the hex and rather let everyone go and tear down the hex she kept it going for the sake keeping her “family” alive.
She didn't know that she was hurting people until she saw it. Once she knew that she was hurting people, she tear down the hex and free the people.
At least with westview she never comitted any cold-blooded murder, but what she did afterwards, it’s all still inexcusable, so a stupid book twisted her mind and that makes it okay that she did all those atrocities just so she can steal kids from another innocent version of herself?
I'd say sort of. I believe it was established in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that the Darkhold corrupts anyone who even reads from it, so Wanda was definitely in a corrupted mindset in Multiverse of Madness especially after prolonged exposure to the Darkhold. However, she might have still had some choice in it, and choosing to kill some injured Masters of the Mystic Arts was cold-blooded and deciding to take a father from his children was incredibly hypocritical.
I also place a great of, if not full, blame on Wanda for what happened in WandaVision. I understand that she didn't intentionally initiate the Hex at first and wasn't aware that she was hurting the people inside the Hex, but she definitely knew that she keeping those people captive and didn't put an end to the Hex for as long as she did. Even if she didn't know at first, she certainly knew after S.W.O.R.D. told her (and while I get that S.W.O.R.D. wasn't exactly most trustworthy source for her, I would have at least investigated if I was told I was holding people captive). And she probably knew how to end it considering she was knowledgeable enough to expand the Hex.
^Wanda also chose to read the Darkhold after being informed that it's "the book of the damned", so that's her fault as well.
In wandavision , she trapped a town and torture all the residents and she has not the darkhold . same in avengers age of ultron , she control hulk and kills some people
I think this is why Wanda qualifies as inconsistently heinous (as a villain).
We've forgiven others who weren't sort of being mind controlled by an evil book
@Indigo Vinson true but honestly, Wanda has taken things way too far in most cases with the Darkhold. She could’ve done much more damage with it than anyone else in the MCU ever could’ve. Including Aida and Ivanov and Eli Morrow.
What do you think?
