Phil Coulson was the first main character to die, and they brought him back in AoS.

Peggy Carter died, but it wasn't that big of a deal unless you watched Agent Carter.

Odin died, but by the time Ragnarok happened, he again wasn't that big of a deal.

Loki died, and they almost immediately brought him back via the multiverse.

Gamora died, and they again almost immediately brought her back via the multiverse.

Vision died for them to almost immediately bring him back via Wanda's magic and SWORD's science

All the snaped came back. Not to mention Nick Fury faked his death and all the times Loki "died."

Black Widow, Iron Man, and possibly Captain America are the only ones that are truly dead, and it took them twenty-three films to kill off just three main characters. And that's only because their contracts were up. Since then, the only major character death has been May.

Am I the only one that thinks that's odd? I'm not saying they should kill off multiple people left and right, but it feels like no one ever dies because they come right back. And they don't come back way later they come back almost immediately through the multiverse or some other form of revival.

Tom Holland said he wanted out. Peter sacrificing himself in No Way Home would have been a great way to bring Miles Morales in, and I would have been truly heartbroken by his death. It would have been cool seeing MJ and Ned coping with his death. Ned is mad about the imposter Spider-Man, so he becomes the villain. And if they want to bring Peter back FAR into the future, that would be okay, but not immediately.

Death, even unexpected death, is a natural part of life, and I think they should bring a little bit more of it into the MCU. Again, not saying they should do it very often, but I think killing off main characters every now and then and not ALL AT ONCE would be good for the MCU and could bring some interesting stories

I feel like one of the reasons the threats don't feel scary enough is because NO ONE DIES until their very, very long contracts expire, and if they do, they come RIGHT back. The only one I thought was scary was Thanos, and I knew marvel would bring the vanished back. They would be a lot scarier if some of the main characters died throughout the movies. Again In 23 movies, 3 characters died.
