SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!
That mutant reveal was... unexpected. And the more I think about it the more I don't like it.
Her powers were already explained. This is just a "hat on a hat", it doesn't feel necessaryand just raises more questions about the Clandestine family powers and why certain people have them.
As well as being a bizarre way to introduce mutants to the MCU, in a tiny little awkward line at the end of a TV show about a character who isn't supposed to be a mutant.
And is further steering her away from the comics/being Inhuman.
@BEJT I still would've preferred her as Inhuman, but a mutant is still good, much better than that Djinn crap. That technically means Kamala is a three species hybrid.
But like, she's still Djinn too, so it's not instead/"much better than", it's just also.
3 species.
Yeah, I'm just referring to the "much better than that Djinn crap" thing, which implies it's replacing that.
Pretty good episode. more thoughts later maybe
I need to finish this show idc Abt spoilers but I loved how she got her name
I think shes still inhuman
I have mixed feelings about this show. I think Iman is absolutely perfect as Kamala in my opinion and the way this show dealt with her relationships with friends and family I think was also done with perfection.
However, as for the plot (as in villains and motives and what-not) things weren't as great. Also, this show CLEARLY did not have the same budget as some of the other D+ shows.
One critique I have regarding this latest episode as well, is that the sound editing was kind of bad. The ADR was very obvious.
Nonetheless, I'm really excited to see her in The Marvels next year as well as future projects!
I think they did it to avoid the inhuman introduction, as mutants are much better know and they plan to introduce them soon.
