For God's sake, not this again. There are so many movies and TV shows where characters have been recast and we were just expected to suspend our disbelief and accept that it was the same character, even when the replacement actor looked nothing like their predecessor. Albus Dumbledore, Clarice Starling, Rachel Dawes, Vivian Banks, Daario Naharis, Sparticus, the list goes on and on! But why is the MCU the only case where people argue that because it's a different actor, it must be a different universe? They gave Edward Norton the boot because while he's a brilliant actor, he's also a control freak and they couldn't have that. Just like they booted Terence Howard because of a pay dispute (he was the first actor cast in the first movie, so he got paid more than Downey, but then he found out that Downey would get a much bigger payday than him in the second movie and he couldn't get onboard with that).
