(Spoilers!)
And politics shouldn't be in this fandom, only the politics of the actual MCU. It is clear you are a right-leaning person but you don't constantly need to tell us about how you don't agree with marvel including topics like whitewashing because you don't believe it's a real thing. Marvel can make any creative choices they desire it's not always about politics but even if they want to include it for the political (or more appropriately social) reasons that are their choice being that they created the MCU. Also, the only way actors become famous or land a big movie is from them getting chosen to do a movie or tv role.
Personally, I like the show and I like how there include real-world situations in it. Marvel has always done that even with the comics (when WWII was going on Marvel made the Captain America comics and everyone loved him for fighting Hitler. I think we live in a diverse world and it should be represented.
I am not saying we shouldn't represent people, and what the hell, you should be able to mention some political things, but we shouldn't he taught stuff we already know. I personally liked the comics where Captain America fought Red Skull better alongside the real Nick Fury.
Also how are politics not supposed to be in this Fandom when Kevin Feige is shoving politics in our face. I miss the days where we could enjoy a show/movie without being reminded how we need to do better.
All I'm saying is Marvel is trying to do what they have always done: reflect the real world in the content they make... it makes the MCU more realistic and it allows us to (regardless of whether or not you agree with the topics being discussed) relate to it. The more a series or movie reflects the real world the better I can relate to the. Shows and movies that don't remind us of the real world aren't very realistic and ultimately aren't liked by as many people. It's why people like movies where the characters experience the same emotions we feel.
I stand by my point, Marvel purposely hired Bisha K. Ali for Ms. Marvel just because of her political position, no other reason.
Or, like me, they just like the way she works. I thought Generation why (the Ms. Marvel episode she wrote) was written excellently
We can agree to disagree
The action in this episode was cool, but the story was kind of lacking. The Red Dagger is cool, but Waleed's death fell flat for me, since we didn't spend enough time with him to get to form an emotional connection. The Clan Destine also escaped from the supermax prison a bit too easily.
The second Waleed appear I was like, "Ok, he's a mentor, he will die as motivation"
@LunchGoddess How come you always end up here every week with the worst and twisted takes over every single thing ? X-Men were freaking created because of politics !!!! and yes whitewashing is an actual word.
@LunchGoddess via Google Whitewashing: deliberately attempt to conceal unpleasant or incriminating facts about (someone or something)
What do you think?
