If this is real and there's a Marvel Studios comic-con dedicated to the MCU launching soon I hope it comes in the Netherlands or in a country close of us...
AvengersCon is for now just something created for the Ms. Marvel show but they are considering making it a real thing
I think it’s real
No it isn't
That would be great
Besides DC has DC FanDome, so I believe Marvel should have their own event
I think when it feels again like they're welcoming of the full MCU fan-base, this could be lovely. Star Wars Celebration is lovely because it's so embracing of all degrees of Star Wars. The Marvel Television situation is too much of a barrier currently though, to me, as it feels like the event would be exclusionary towards some of the deepest MCU fans, like "We only care about what we made and you're only the target for attendance if you only care about what we made". I'm hoping that will continue to change though.
I want this to happen as I love the idea of an in universe convention in the MCU as it makes this franchise more real, superheroes have existed and been publicly recognized for 17 years so yeah someone would make money off of a their popularity and if we are going to have a real world Marvel convention why not make it the in-universe celebration. As far as the "Marvel Television fans won;t feel accepted" thing, no one is going to kick you out of the convention if you cosplay Daredevil instead of Iron Man; they just might not have those franchises front and centre unless it is to announce a film or Disney+ show for them because it is a Marvel Studios con and they want to celebrate what Studios has done and is going to do.
What do you think?
