Well all timelines need a Point of Divergence, so I suppose the Champion of Hydra does exist in the MCU timeline, but I doubt it's related to the Hive or Maveth because I believe Red Skull said it was a Norse creature in What if...?
I like to believe that HYDRA just sees something with tentacles and instantly falls in love with it
@Mistic-Instinct ”HYDRA sees something with tentacles and instantly falls in love with it.”
I literally did a spit-take! 😂
I think it was meant to be either Shuma Gorath or Gargantos (from Multiverse of Madness) but I can't be sure. Doctor Strange absorbed the same creature in his story.
No, it's not Hive -- and I ranted about this last year when it came out, because that would have been a perfect reveal -- that is, if you're not allergic to Marvel Television lore, which Kevin Feige is.
There's no way it's Shuma-Gorath - he would have wiped the floor with Peggy, no offense to her lol.
I mean... even Hive would. Considering he feeds on humans in an instant and brainwashes Inhumans just as quickly. It's why anyone sent through the monolith just got insta-death.
The MCU hasn't really mentioned stuff from AoS so I highly doubt that was Hive.
It is not Hive. What If...? writers haven't seen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It's not, but it would've been a fun reveal and a nod to the show, if they were even capable of making subtle references to AoS...
I can only dream haha
What do you think?
