How marvel is doing a Christmas special and Halloween special but not an Easter special
@Just Be Nice People You do realize Christmas is a Christianity-related festival right?
It is not that strange considering since there isn’t usually an Easter special for things. Christmas and Halloween have a lot more holiday characters too.
Okay so Christmas to some is celebrated as Christ’s birth. I personally do not celebrate it as Christ’s birth. I do not like the way it has been assumed what day he was born. If God had wanted us to know he would’ve told us.
Not to be too pedantic, but Christmas and Easter are both celebrated roughly on the dates of and borrow from pagan celebrations.
Christmas and Halloween are both pretty widely celebrated holidays that basically take things over for about a month with distinct aesthetics - aesthetics that don’t have much, if anything, to do with religious observance.
Outside of Easter Mass etc, what would an Easter special look like? Characters eating too much chocolate for an hour?
Easter is the perfect opportunity for a Egghead spin-off special.
The only options that come to mind are ones that lean on camp.
Egghead is a good one. White Rabbit has a faberge egg obsession that could be used? Maybe even Arcade with death trap eggs to be defused?
These just sort of barely speak to the tone of Easter though (secular or otherwise), while Christmas and Halloween have a much easier time setting a recognisable atmosphere.
Easter is really the most important holiday of Christianity, but only a select few religions celebrate it.
Have you seen anyone making easter special these days?
In my country we don't celebrate Easter OR Halloween Xd
We don't even have those two specials. Werewolf by Night hasn't even been announced by Marvel itself yet. Let's just wait and see what Marvel does. If the specials are well received, we will definitely get more.
What do you think?
