I'm probably the only one who cares, but...ANSON MOUNT! Inhumans is canon confirmed. I really wanted them to bring in Black Bolt but I was always worried they'd recast him. I never actually thought they'd bring in mount, given that Inhumans was the worst rated of all the TV shows (either Inhumans or Iron Fist).
So come on, Marvel. If you're willing to bring in actors from Inhumans, then there's no excuse not to start bringing in certain SHIELD agents, lol.
Perhaps there's hope for Daisy and Black Bolt to meet yet...
Also, John K as Reed Richards. I know people are going to love that. I personally would have loved Josh Dallas as Reed & Elizabeth Lail as Sue, but John & Emily work perfectly, if that really is what they're going for.
They completely wasted Mordo, though. I thought the whole point of using Kaecilius in the first movie was to build up Mordo as a complex character who had a relationship with Stephen so that he'd be a deep villain in the sequel. But he literally wasn't even in this one. I thought maybe he might have orchestrated this whole crisis with Wanda to prove to Stephen there are "too many sorcerers."
I LOVE the Clea tease at the end. Charlize Theron is perfect (although my first choice would have been Sophie Hunter). I love how she never speaks her name but you see the Dark Dimension. And it's so fitting to bring in Clea after the whole Christine thing is wrapped up. Are Strange & Dormammu going to be in-laws? That's going to be so awkward.
Am I the only one who was really annoyed that they called the MCU Earth 616? The writers clearly are unaware that every Marvel continuity has its own number. 616 was the comic universe, but the MCU main universe is Earth 199999.
Also, can we all just have a moment of silence for Earth 838 (or whatever number it was)? The world lost Captain Carter, the universe lost Captain Marvel, the X-Men lost Charles Xavier (for the third time), the Fantastic Four lost Reed, the Inhumans lost their king, Wanda from that world and her kids have been traumatized, and there's a guy who's stuck punching himself for weeks. Although that's still not as tragic as the world that's literally falling apart. How is there still even oxygen in that world? What is Strange eating in that world? Are there any other living people than him?
It is kind of bizarre how the Sorcerers were all killed off in the first movie -- were absent from Ragnarok and Infinity War -- but then all showed up in Endgame and this film -- only to be all killed off -- only to be completely replenished at the end (And what was up with the talking Minotaur? A comic character I presume). Like, how many are there and where do they keep coming from?
I loved the Wundagore Castle. The idea that the Darkhold magic was transcribed from the walls of the castle was cool. Also, Ghost Rider is sighing with relief in his proverbial grave.
And I love the line, "This time, it's going to take more than killing me to kill me."
Also, that's two Christines that are still alive. Kind of weird how What If made it seem like it's always her destiny to die when it clearly isn't.
Speaking of love interests being alive, VISION'S STILL ALIVE. At no point does that ever come to fruition. If he had revealed himself, the entire movie might not have happened. Also, I thought we were going to learn why America was one of a kind. I guess we'll have to learn that in her own movie that she'll probably get. Like when America portals Wanda to the other world and she sees what a monster she is; I feel like that could have almost happened earlier in the movie. The only problem was she couldn't control it. But she can now for...reasons (reminds me of "I'm always angry"). But also, I thought Sling Rings could travel the multiverse? Didn't they literally say that in the first movie?
I can't wait for HISHE to make their video and have the black scientist say "Here's a bright idea: why don't you just use a Sling Ring to take Wanda to another universe so she can see the error of her ways before she destroys the crap out of Kamar-Taj and the Illuminati just because you were too stubborn to try and compromise with the Scarlet Witch?" "Ugh, fine."
I have so much other stuff to say about this movie but I don't have time to type it right now.
